It is rightly said that without farmers, there would be no one to live on the earth, as hunger would kill everyone. A foodie like me is not excluded, as I would also die without farmers as there would be no food to eat. Without many explanations and easy to-read sentences, I wrote this article using the tips given.

Who is a farmer, and what do farmers do?

A farmer is one who cultivates farm produce and harvests it for human consumption. He may also train livestock. A farmer is one who meets the needs of a nation in terms of food, and it is also a profession, as I give kudos to farmers worldwide.

Farmers do go to their farms and cultivate to either produce raw materials or to bring food to the public.

Are farmers really important people in our society? (Give reasons for your answer.)

Farmers are really important people in our society, as without them, there would be no food. They also play a major role in the cultivation of land, as if not, there would be many forests in the society, and this could be a threat to the society. Lastly, farmers are givers. A neighbor of mine is a farmer, and he always gives me farm produce.

What are the conditions of farmers in your area.

Farmers here in my area are not actually doing well, as this profession is poor here in my area. They do all farm work here with their hands, and there are no machines to do their job. Even so, the government does not support them, and this makes farmers suffer a lot. This happens in the eastern part of Nigeria, in Ebonyi State, Abakaliki, precisely.

Why do you think people don't want to be farmers anymore?

Farmers are seen as people who suffer a lot because, come rain or come sun, they are on their farm, but that is not true. Secondly, the rate at which farm produce is destroyed by farm pests makes other people lose interest in being farmers. Finally, many people want the white-collar kind of job because they think farming is difficult.
