Watermelon, as described, is a round fruit which has green peel, pink or red juice, and black seed. It is a succulent fruit and contains a higher percentage of water. Its fruit is also eatable.
Some of the benefits of watermelon are:

• It aids digestion.
• It helps maintain weight
• it keeps the body hydrated because of the water content.
• It lowers blood pressure
• It defends the body from certain diseases.
• Its seeds contain certain elements like iron.

Materials For The Drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Colours
• Pencils
• Ruler
• Eraser
• Sharpener.

Step 1
I began my drawing by sketching the watermelon. I used the cover of a container to draw the big and small watermelons, as seen in the Image above. I also sketched the part where the small l watermelon is cut out from the complete watermelon. I use a light green colour and a red colour at this stage.

Step 2
I shaded the juicy or succulent part of the small watermelon using a red colour.

Step 3
I drew and shaded the seeds found in the small watermelon.

Step 4
I shaded the shell or skin of the small watermelon using a light and dark green colour.

Step 5
I shaded the juicy part of the big watermelon using a red colour.

Step 5
I drew the seeds of the watermelon using a pencil.

Step 6
I shaded the larger part of the big watermelon using a light green colour.

Step 7
I designed the shaded part using a dark green colour. I also shaded the short stem of the watermelon with brown and green colours.

Step 8
I shaded the remaining part of the watermelon using a light green colour.

Step 9
I concluded the drawing by designing the shell with a dark green colour.
