I am taking part in this fun, creative contest from @hive-126193! I was immediately intrigued by this week’s theme, “Draw Avocado,” for its unique and refreshing concept. Their lushness and smiles make avocados not only delicious to eat but also an interesting thing to draw.

Materials Used:

✅White Paper

✅Pencil

✅Eraser

✅Colors (Bottle Green, Parrot Green, Light yellow, Brown, and Black)

✅Black Pen

I’ve posted below the step by step process of the avocado drawing I created:

Drawing the stem and leaf:

---

I started with a line for the stem and one leaf coming off of the avocado fruit. This grounded my illustration and some context.

Sketching the form of the avocado:

Then I meticulously sketched the outline of a whole avocado. I tried to give it a natural, rounded shape.

Drawing the half-cut avocado:

And along with the whole avocado, I drew a half-cut avocado.

Adding the seed:

I skimmed towards the center of the half avocado, drawing a realistic looking seed.

Adding colors to the fruit:

I began choosing the green color for the skin of the whole and half avocado.

Sold for the inside of half-cut avocado, I have used light parrot green, yellowish color for fresher looking.

Later, I added seed and I used the dark brown color to make it more pop up.

I added a green color to the leaf and stem.

Black pen to add detail:

I colored the avocado with out-lining it with a black pen and giving finishing touches to the whole drawing.

This was the last step, and my avocado drawing was done! I had a blast creating it, and this is my entry to share with everyone in the contest.
