SFS Contest :Summer Vs Winter Shopping
I am delighted to participate in the SFS Contest: Summer vs. Winter Shopping event by @ashkhan. Seasonal shopping is done mostly because of its advantages and each of the seasons has its own peculiarities. When it comes to the clothing preferences, everyone loves one thing, and that is seasonal shopping; be it the colorful and light clothing of summers or the warm and heavy clothes of winter. This simply means that to go further, I will bring out my feelings and preferable shopping period of these two seasons together with the features that make the two distinct.
Personally, winter is my favorite shopping season. To some extent there is nothing quite like finding the perfect sweater, a proper fitting jacket, and stylish scarves. And that is actually possible during winter shopping, as layering is part of the outfit, which I like. My favorite is when choosing outerwear, especially warm ones like wool, velvet or cashmere and the strong, deep tones of winter like maroon, navy, and emerald and so on.

Also, shoes specially, boots, gloves, and hats are always exciting to shop during the winter season. In contrast with summer, which announces more minimalistic clothing styles, clothing during winter leaves more possibilities for experimenting. To my mind, winter is more fun to shop for because I get to create stylish and cozy outfits for colder weather.
The most important benefit which could be mentioned while speaking about summer shopping, is the convenience and the clothing’s ease. Summer fashion is all about comfort and freedom mainly because our clothes should help our body breathes. I like when a girl can wear just a dress, or jeans and a comfortable top and look beautiful. They often work with lighter materials such as cotton and linen so shopping is less expensive. Moreover, with just two items of clothing in between the skin and outer garment, you can freely interchange what is preset without great concern with the match.

On the other side, there is charm that people find when shopping during the winter season. This is more advantageous because clothing fashion and accessories for layering is so diverse and therefore more interesting. The best thing here is that during winter people can spend money on more glamorous items such as coats, jackets and quality boots that will, in fact, fix the outfit. That is why it is so interesting that during the winter one is able to discover those opportunities to play with fabrics such as wool, fur, leather and at the same time embrace richer and deeper shades of color, and is that simple reason why men’s fashion has become more creative and rather elegant.
As much as I think that summer shopping has its merits, so does winter shopping. Summer is more comfortable and natural, and so women do not feel like dressing up fashionably; on the other hand, winter is flexible and fashionable.
In general, I do like summer and winter shopping both, but, of course, each of them has its own peculiarities and certain number of disadvantages.
In summer, the largest drawback is that in terms of fashion, it is not always very diverse. Since it’s too hot to start layering, the clothing is normally simple and those requires less mix and matching, thus making it less easy to play around with. The fabrics might also be light and very comfortable for use but might be easily fading off, in the sense that one has to order more often. Also, shopping during the time of the year like summer can be tiring; also coupled with hot weather, it becomes less desirable.

For the negative aspect of winter shopping though the most significant one will always be the cost. Clothing’s that are worn in winter such as jackets, boots, sweaters etc., are costlier because of the quality and thickness of fabrics. Further, winter wear is usually voluminous so it becomes a challenge when it comes to keeping them when not in use. Although the need for multiple layers might seem overwhelming at times as you try to accessorize your outfit, looking after winter fabrics such as wool or leather means the clothing item takes a lot of work.
To my mind, both summer and winter shopping have their advantages and disadvantages, but buying new clothes every season outweighs some unpleasant moments.
