SFS Contest | Week 32 |Drawing Contest | Draw Rose apple.
Today, I am happy to join the SFS Contest Week 32 | Drawing Contest initiated by the amazing @hive-126193. The topic of the week to be drawn was ‘Draw Rose Apple’ Since I love both art and the natural world beauty of it this was appealing to me. Rose apples are rather different in form and in color, thus the embodiment of creativity should be exposed through details and bright shades. This sourcing rationale was taken to draw not only the feel of this lovely fruit but also my approach to artistry. It was great fun creating this drawing and here is a step by step of how I gave life to the rose apple on paper.
Materials Used
✅White paper
✅Pencil
✅Eraser
✅Colors for coloring
✅Black pen
Step-by-Step Process
🔹Drawing the Stem
The first thing I did was to sketch the stem that joins the rose apple. From this position it has formed the base and what might be described as the oriental position of the fruit.
🔹Drawing the first rose apple
Then, to describe the appearance of the first rose apple, I outlined circles that, connected with each other, depicted the roundness of the fruit slightly elongated in direction of the stem.
🔹Adding a Second Rose Apple
In order to make this drawing more energetic, I decided to draw another rose apple, and this time they are much better in terms of organization.
🔹Defining the Shapes
Once I had drawn the basic shapes I then moved to perfect the outlines to make sure that the rose apples appeared real and in proper proportion to one another.
🔹Drawing the Leaf
Finally before finishing the rose apples, I also drew a leaf which was stuck to the stem to give the full appearance.
🔹Adding Color
I started coloring from the skin of the rose apples; painting it red to give it that magnificent color. For enhancement, I applied thin layer of white hue to do the lighting and enhance the surface of the skin in the fruit.
For the stem, I painted it with brown paint so that it has a better natural looking like a part of wood. I then painted the recognized leaf area green and mixed some color shades to make it realistic as possible.
🔹Defining with a Black Pen
Lastly, I used black pen to draw a boundary line round the entire picture and this helped to give it a better finish.
🔹Final Result
The completed drawing has the rose apples well done, fully illustrated with bright colors and fine work done on the pencil. If you like my artwork, I hope you get the same satisfaction as I did while making it!
