Our Introduction Post : @SteemFarm-Marketā¢Link - Promoting Sustainable Farming Through Steem
It is with great pleasure š I @oppongk submit to Steemit Communities our Introduction of @steemfarm-market Community. It took me several months planning about this Community how we can help realize this dream I have discovered. The fact is that I have seen few Steemians coming out with similar ideas to create Community concerning farming and Agriculture, but they have not been properly functioned fully to the expectations. This leaves questions for us whether those Communities were lacking resources to operate or were not getting support as expected. That is why I was waiting to waters and prepare the ground with lots of plans to make the community vibrant and sustainable.
Why Steemfarm-market?
It's obvious that the fuel and driving force for humanity apart from God giving life of breath is food. Where does food comes from? It is through the farming or Agriculture source. Before a Steemian would get the energy and good intension to Steem, he/she needs that element of food : the plant and animal products. Food is described as one of the basic needs to humankind; meaning that everybody must get it in order to survive. But, it hurting that globally, most part of the countries are facing food Crisis. This means that we have not been able to improved sustainable Farming or Agriculture as we speak. Some of the causes might be adversity like the resent hit covid 19 pandemic and lack of money to promote farm produce to feed the population.
All these are fact that culminate leading to the decline of farm produce, hence the need to find solutions by scrutinizing what goes on from the farming field to market, since there is Agriculture chain. At times, it is not about producing scanty produce, but what goes on during marketing. Here is the case in Ghana many food go waste due to lack of Technology and machines to refine or change the produce into finish products. I had always had issue about how some annual fruit like mangoes š„. Since we don't have simple to convert into something like mango jam, during the season, the products are found rotten.
However we call ourselves Agricultural nation since about 70% of the population are peasant farmers. They produce to feed their family and buy petty items to supplement their daily expenses. We may get farming Activities ongoing in almost all the 16 regions in Ghana; either animals are reared or crops are cultivated. I know, as I am using Ghana as an example, other Countries are facing the same challenges. All these challenge Compound to increase the World food crisis, therefore the need to have a common Community that would share the issue farming and marketing of farm produce.
Community Plans & Purposes
We would want to build a sustainable Farming Practices and good marketing of farm produce through Steem. Inviting the youth who are into farming to Steem by linking what they produce through Steem platform. We have seen that many farmers even share their information on farms through social media like facebook. Similar one can be done here through Steemfarm-market. We would conduct survey about what a particular challenge is, what good thing did the farmer did to improve farm to get abundance yield and share through Steem.

Conducting interviews about the good and weakness of a particular farm [Crops & Animals farms]
- Collecting data at the sub-districts and regions of markets to know the the kind of farm produce in relation to current prices at the market.
- Joining the celebration of farmers day across the globe and promoting in Steem.
- Supporting and Encouraging farmers to apply the modern methods of farming to maximize productions.
- Visiting agrochemicals shop to verify the kinds of chemicals to a particular crops and how effectively they are helping them.
Aims and Visions of Steemfarm-market
Our aim and vision of this Community is to promote farm produce marketing of produce to increase the stardard of living people. In doing this we promote the community by getting the vibrant and exuberant youths who have interest to work as farmers. Our Activities would also encompass connecting with Agric Extension Officers for assistance through the interviews we would conduct. There are many Steemians out there who are into Agriculture or Farming, just that they haven't gotten a well function Community, so we have come to connect them globally and assist them to reveal their talents.
Our Resources/Funds to Make the Community Sustainable
At this immediate stage, the Admin and Founder of Steemfarm-market has Delegated 2000 SP to keep the community in active and running to Support its members.
We have also on the lookout to convert all our SBD that we will get from our payout to power up our community Account.
Depending on how fast the community would be convincing and prove the Steemit Community to be capable, we would apply for booming support. And we know Steemcurator04 and other Curators would not hesitate to Upvote our members if we keep our consistency and active.

Our Plans to Increase the Visibility of Our Community
We have tabled a lot of Activities to keep the Community Sustainable.
We would make sure to organize creative weekly contests for members to keep more members in the community.
We would also be writing weekly reports for Steemit Team to know are growth and plans of progress.
We would encourage members to support club5050 in our Community.
Community Amin's & Mods
We plan to get more Reps from various Countries but that one would be if the Community begins to expand to many parts of the world. For now, @oppongk, @rubilu123 and @kookd would be leading the community. Each have been assigned Admins role to help with lots of posts in the community as well as Community Encouragement.
Management of Abuses, Plagiarism & Downvoting
We would make sure to control all sort of abuses and plagiarism in the community. Would would try as much as possible to use plagiarism too to enhance sanity content free plagiarism as these are some of the things that limit the credibility of a Community and Steem. We therefore urge members to be conscious of posts they would share through the Community.
We would not intend to downvote post but if a post violate or flout upon the rules of the Community, then we have no option, but we think this would be minimal as most posts that the community would receive would be in line with our the Community goal.
Conclusion
We know how well Steem Blockchain support hamanitarian work and love to improve the living standards of the vulnerable in the society. There many people out there facing plethora food crisis. We cannot close eye remain silence without planning something to support these people. Though few Communities have tried with the similar ideas and we don't see the impact. As an Agriculturist, I have come out with many survey to promote farms and produce through Steem. I would be very happy if you give me your maximum Support and cooperation. I would make sure to deliver diligently to Steemit Teams!
