The adventure begins - Read this first
This week, I have started working towards establishing a publishing company that will cater to authors that publish in Steemit. My first project is underway and will consist of an anthology of short stories published in the different communities around Steemit. The selection process of the works will be twofold, on one side some authors will be invited, on the other, everybody will be free to submit their works for selection. This aproach is due to the fact that it is impossible for me to read every single short story that's ever been published here and make a selection and also because dead men tell no tales and people who have already left the platform will not be around to enter works into competition, so, this will both be practical and beneficial.

I have also finished preparing the templates for the legal documents needed to guarantee everybody's publishing rights and that there will be no copyright infringement and started to develop the proper financial infrastructure both to pay for the costs of publishing and to be able to return any profits back into the platform, and started testing the money channels (I'm quite new at this part of handling steem as a tradeable coin, so I need to be sure everything works to perfection). To increase the publicity of this initiative around the Steemian community, I have launched a contest for the design of this publishing house that will be ending next week.
The opening of this community is an effort to concentrate all the information that will be published by @hefestuseditions and @hefestus regarding the development of the workings of the publishing business. All accounts will be made transparent here, as well as all the processes regarding the selection of texts for this and future works related to Hefestus Editions. I ask that you don't publish your works here unless invited to do it, to allow for a better reading of announcements by everybody else. Proper channels will be announced for the sending of texts to the Editors and great communities exist elsewhere for the publishing of your texts and other pieces of art. By all means comment whatever you want. I appreciate your feedback. Contacts and other particular info will be published in future entries.

Of course you can. The only limit is that the works must be of your own working, you don't plagiarize anyone and don't use AI. All kinds of works will be welcome. When we have the words, we'll find out what to do with them.
