Hello friends and welcome to my blog today and today I will love to offer some tips and guides on how you can make your posts on steemit look professional and with the perfect tough of delicious markdown.
The use of markdown skills is not a new topic on steemit, in fact, this is the main course of achievement 4 in newcomers community in which all newbies must apply to pass the verification process. However, it seems most just apply mardown skills only on their achievement 4 task and subsequent posts are a complete contract of what they practiced in achievement 4 task.
I have seen a lot of great posts out there with beautiful and quality content but lacks the finishing it deserves, you do not have to apply all the markdown there is, all you need to do is just apply the necessary ones and stick with it.

Acceptable Posts You Can Make in Campus Connect
3 months ago we made some changes to the type of content we acceptable in campus connect, we appreciate quality and beautiful posts structured to fit the niche of our community. Our community is focused on uniting students worldwide and centering our content around the campus and other campus-related matters will usher in a different experience from wheat we already see on steemit.
**Sample Content-Type
- Campus Diary
Campus diary is very similar to the typical diary posts we are used to. However contrary campus diary posts will feature events and details about your activities within the university walls.
We want to feel and see what life is like as a student in different parts of the world. So be creative and share with us campus life in your university.
Just like the regular diary games, these posts can be made as often as daily to weekly compilation of activities, it's also important to use tags like #campusdiary and #nigeria(your country tag) and #steemexclusive. In addition, these are some of the rules guiding the campus diary posts.
Rules
Posts must be made in campus connect
Posts must be original and at least 300 words.
At least a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 8 images must be included in each campus diary report.
Campus diary posts always carry the date of the day the posts are for.
So these are just the rules and they are pretty straightforward and easy to make. I personally will be making my first Campus diary posts in the coming days,.
- Campus Related Posts
This section includes posts that relate to campus and university. Community members can make posts about life on campus, campus tips, health tips on campus, and any other type of content relating to campus and students' well-being.
Posts about university competitions and programs are also accepted under this section.
Educational Posts related to the course you study in your university
In this section, we expect to see posts relating to the course you are studying at your university. You can choose to talk about your course and its various branches and application in real life. Creativity is key.
In this type of content its important you state how your content relates to your field of study.
Campus Promotion
Posts that fall under this category include promotional posts, promotional reports, and campus promotion reports can be made under this category.
Community members are free to make any post of their choice as long as it's campus-related, posts must also have the following as one of the first 5 tags- #steemexclusive #campusconnect and #campusdiary for campus diary posts
Write Like A Pro Using The Perfect Markdown Styles
Its one thing to have a great content its another to have a clean post, maintaining a specific style of formatting your posts will help your posts look beautiful and professional.
Below are some of the markdown styles you may apply to your posts.
Text justify
You could justify your posts in 3 formats
- Left alignment,
- Right alignment and
- Center alignment.
Left alignment: This is the dsufult markdown setting on steemit. Its authomatcally allgns all text and post written to the left of the page. here is an example of what i mean:
You can notice how the texts on the left are following a straight line while the other end(the right) looks so random and unarranged.
Right alignment:A right alignment is the direct opposite of the left alignment scheme, in this case the texts start form the right and end on the left. Using a right alignment the post are arranged and on a straight line on the right and random on the left end.
Center alignment:A center alignment centers the text on the center of the page you are working on. it leaves the right and left end random.
These are the basic alignment types,now i am going to show you how to align your text and to have a clean end both on the right and left. something like this:

This post looks great and well patterned,you probably seen this type of formatting on newspapers and magazines. This is the code that does all the magic:
Write exactly the code as it is in Arrow 1
Write the second code exactly as it is in Arrow 2.
Center Texts
Texts are centered using a set of very simple commands, this allows the post to appear at the center of the page, usually used to mark a new heading or subheading.
The main command is code 3 and 4, the rest of the command which is 1 and 2 is very unnecessary.
Float Lerft and Right
In some football magazines and fashion magazines,newspapers and other blog,some images are floated on the left or the right. They are used to highlight a particular picture with the texts forming a cage like justification around it.

This makes your post look very professional and award winning contender.
- First you input your code,that is the first arrow code.
- Second you paste your image.
- You then close the code for with the character shown by the 3rd arrow.
- Remember to text justify your post to have clean edge. However if you wish to save yourself the wok of justifying every paragraph i suggest you use the opening code before your first paragraph and the last code after the lats paragraph of your post.
- You then close the justify code with the lat arrow marking.
How to make your texts bold
You may wish to make word stand out in a long paragraph or article, this is how you do it:
The first method is used to make bold titles.
The second method is used to make texts standout or if you wish to highlight a word or sentence.
Making a List
If you wish to make a list while writing a post maybe you want to create a long list of items or features. This is how you do it.
Mastering the use of these markdown styles will help you make beautiful and well parteneed posts.
You could also add divders like the line below dividing paragraphs and subheadings. You could design a special and customized divider for yourself, adding a touch of professionalism and personalisation.
