WEEK 3 CONTEST MAKING CHANGES

Good day all my name is muazosomose i am a Nigerian citizen and a student of futminna....
Today I want to use this medium to talk about my school....
LECTURERS
Teaching activities in my school I must say is kind of manageable, because the government is not making things easier for them also and the lecturers are trying to do their best to taught us
Meanwhile they are not been recognize at what they are doing and their salaries is not paid on time and also their allowance are not been given to them which normal results to strike,
The strike usually affect wwe student as well and this is also causing slow education for us ...
The government does not want to spend their money on educational aspect if I may say...

COST OF EDUCATION
Our school fee is not suppose to be much because it's a federal university, rather it was required by the federal government for it to be free to all citizens but we still pay some little money..
And the money has been increasing gradually which is not suppose to be so...
Our Acceptance fee is 20k which is quite okay compare to some schools...

INADEQUATE INFRASTRUCTURE
In my schools though I don't know of others some of the building lack maintainace We do have enough laboratories but not all of them are functioning , some of them are very well equipped but we do not make use of them and they got damaged sometimes which is not suppose to be so ...
In my school our lecture hall is too small for we to be able to learn and study in while a lecture is been on.

This is a hall that contains hundreds of students at a time and while the lecture Is going on the students at the back hardly hear what the lecturer is saying and when we talk about the weather condition is really not good ....
The lecture halls are very hot at times , students are sweaty, uncomfortable and no effective sound systems put in place for better communication.....
I learning facility like this is totally not accepted at all , because a student don't understand what has been told in the class he or she attends, it is totally uncalled for.....

PROVISION OF SCHOOL BUS

Futminna is a school that runs 2 campuses, we have one at bosso and the other at gk, struggling for bus is not funny for us everyday while going to school, because most of the students at bosso usually has their lectures at gk mostly 100 level student most of their courses are been hold in our main campus at gk . And a student will leave his or her hostel or lodge as early as possible to try to catch up with the available bus on ground ... And the same thing applies to after lecture a student that left for class as early as 6 AM in the morning will be going back to his house towards the evng time around 8pm meanwhile he might have finished his lecture before 4pm in the evening time but due to inadequate availability of buses you will meet hundreds of students in the bus park trying every means to enter any bus that comes at that moment . Student will end up pushing themselves to enter the bus which is not suppose to be happening at all.
I think the government or school authority should make sure to make all of this available for us...
AVAILABILITY OF HOSTELS

With all due respect we don't have enough hostels that can accommodate even half of our students .
This is one of the major reason why a student will be leaving in our second campus and he or she will have it's faculty in our main campus. And transportation here is very stressful for the students.... Assuming we have much hostels in our facility we wouldn't be going through much stress...
ACCOUNTABLE STUDENT UNION

Our SUG is trying but they are nt the best so far they still have a lot to do, our SUG should make sure that each and every classes that's need to be upgraded should be done to enable the students to be comfortable and for them to be able to read well.
Most especially in the night the SUG should make sure that every classes has light, fan and socket for us to be able to read at night and and they should make sure every security light that is damage is been replaced to ensure our safety while walking at night , either we going to class or going back to our hostels or various lodge....
