Many pursue higher education for economic reasons which include getting employment or creating jobs for themselves and others. It is with these reasons that parents, guardians and students spend resources such as money, time and energy, in pursuit of degrees and diplomas. Unfortunately, many of these courses turn out to be useless in economic sense. This post highlights the features of useless courses.

They Are Courses That Qualify Recipients for Unemployment and Underemployment

These courses produce young men and women who cannot get employment and if they are employed, they are highly undervalued because their salaries and wages are significantly below average. In this sense, useless courses breed dissatisfaction and unhappiness.

No Practical Skills

Useless courses emphasize the acquisition of theorical knowledge and passing examinations and nothing more. They do not teach skills that employers need.
What is more?
They give recipients false hope of employment. The main "skills" these graduates have are how to write great application letters for jobs that do not exist.

Useless Courses Are Sources of Generating Money for Universities and Colleges

The only beneficiaries of these courses are the Universities, colleges that offer them and their teachers. They charge exorbitant fees they share among themselves. Every year, they are quick to advertise these programmes and offer admission liberally.

Do you know one shocking fact?

Even the universities and colleges that graduated them cannot employ them or offer practical advice on the way forward.

Expired Contents and Tools

In these courses, the teachers profess as knowledge what had long been discarded into academic and intellectual dustbin. Yes, they teach as knowledge expired contents and use tools that are no longer applicable at workplace.
There is a disconnect between school and work.

Therefore, choose your discipline wisely.

Alternatively, make your adjustment appropriately to avoid future regret.

Thanks for being here.

Wow nice write up you got there sir. Well I can say that I disagree with you on calling some of those courses useless. I believe your only saying this because u have been doing quite well on handwork which is good but I think an individual shouldn't solely depend on the handwork. U calling a course like Medicine useless is strange because what would you call a country without doctors to fight health problems?? Will having probably the skills you gat save you from malaria or any other illness? I think every course is very much important no matter how small it might be. So rather, it's good to get know both.👌

The post is contextual. The message is that some courses in view of the time do not have economic value.
