THE MIRROR AND THE STEADY WATER- @50% to Campusconnectng

There are two things that gives a reflection of our-self. The mirror and the steady water. When we look into the mirror we see a clear and apparent reflection of our-self. It's so direct, but the steady water, however reflects a blur image of ourselves.
A person with a low self esteem and a reduced self confidence See's his reflection, but only from the steady water. He surely has seen his reflecting image but not so clearly to believe he is self confident. He is devoid of self assurance, because his reflection is blurred from the water.
He becomes screamingly anxious to whether he can live his dreams. At some point, he seldom dreams of positivities.
He lacks his sanguine taste of nature, because his taste buds now taste something sweet as bitter. He is self- critical and doubts keep sprewing into his minds. He tends to demur with those who admire him, a very sad and demoralizing consequence of low self esteem.
He gives too much attention to negativism rather to positive thoughts, ideas and details in his life. All this incidents, because he see's a reflection of himself from the water which gives a blur image making the personality in him believe nothing in his life can be clear, but only blurry or opague.

On the other hand, the person seeing his reflection from the mirror, has immense self confidence, reason being that, he looks into the mirror and See's a clear reflection. Self discovery sets into his mind, he tends to understand the reflection and believes it could grow even more beautiful if it is self motivated.
We should create a long lasting mirror within us, because it's gives a clear reflection of what we are, who we are and what we have in ourselves. We cannot see the sense organ that makes us see( which is the eye), but yet the eye is meant to see, why is that?. Similarly, we can see nothing under our nose down to the neck but the eyes is stick right before the nose. This shows that even if we have the ability to build up self esteem in ourselves, but lack what to look up to as a mirror, our lips will be right under the eyes but will not be able to spot it.

The first person we should look up to as a mirror is God. We should be christ- centered, Christ absorbed and Christ reliant. He should be our spiritual mirror, one whom we should look up to for our self actualization. Many people have self confidence, but lack the knowledge of making God their mirror, while on the contrary, many have made God their mirror but do not have a positive image for themselves. The feel that God should rain down manna from heaven unto their door-steps, but the salient truth is that God had already planted in them abilities and talents which they are oblivious to and which therefore lays dormant since the person in question has not driven to self discovery. They turn out to be like the third servant in the Bible who decided to bury the one talent given to him by his master. Try to strike the balance between making God your mirror and still possessing self confidence.
