This entry is my response to the @campusconnectng contest with the topic "Where do you see steemit in the next three (3) years?"

HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS:
STEEMIT
Steemit is a social media platform based on a blockchain technology. It is designed just like Twitter, Reddit or Facebook platform which grants users on the platform access to create and post contents as well as view, comment and upvote on the posts of other users.
Steemit is unique as it blends its social media platform with Blockchain technology. Hence, users on the site are rewarded for creating and posting original content with STEEM tokens( SBD and SP).
The STEEM units are not mined like typical blockchain coins such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. They are generated by the activities of the users on the platform by posting, comments and upvotes. Hence, each steemit user with a certain amount of Steem Power can be regarded as a stakeholder and new Steem tokens mined are paid to their wallets.
WHERE DO I SEE STEEMIT IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS?
I am convinced that with joint effort as stakeholders in the Steemit platform, we would power steemit into a very powerful position in the cryptocurrency market in a future within the 3 year gap.
Here's my vision and prediction with substantial reasons attached, and ways to achieve this vision:

A. By promoting steemit platform in our environs: This would pull more users into the platform. A large user community would lead to massive awareness of the Steem tokens, this would eventually boost it's value on the market due to a lot of active Steem traders and HODLers.

Encourage active users on the platform to create quality contents: Quality and engaging contents on steemit would beautify the platform and increase its reputation among other social platforms. This attracts users and investors.Active users should also be encouraged to interact with others by commenting on posts and upvotes.

C. Powering Up Liquid Steem : Members of local steemit communities should be encouraged to power up liquid Steem. A community with large cumulative Steem power are capable of supporting it's members. Both new and Old members. It increases a community's influence on the steemit platform. This makes a community attractive enough to lure others to join the Steemit platform.
SUMMARY
Steemit is a unique Blockchain platform, because it successfully integrated social media with cryptocurrency. This can be seen as an advantage over regular crypto blockchain tokens like Bitcoin and Ethereum. But this depends on building a large active steemit community globally.
Steem tokens show a lot of promise and would definitely skyrocket if we play our part in promoting steemit to the world.
Hence, in 3 years time I can predict that the Steem token value would be high enough to rub shoulders with the big players of the crypto market like Bitcoin.
