This Is My Steemit Testimony, What's Yours

Back then in the year 2018, when I first learned about steemit, I thought it was a get rich quick scheme. I thought it was some kind of a platform that will immediately provide my needs in my first or second post.
But no, I was wrong. I was so disappointed when my first post wasn’t even worth the price of chewing gum. That alone made me stop. But I had been the same person actively and happily posting and engaging Facebook since 2009 and have never for one day been rewarded. But I never gave a damn, I kept enjoying posting there.

So because I heard there is a platform called steemit that when I get a like on my post, the like will become money for me, I decided to cast all my cares on steemit because I wanted steemit to care for me.

I got disappointed after my first 2 posts paid out $0.00, I lost my hope on the platform, I lost my passion for the platform, I lost my flare for the platform, I lost my expectations from the platform, but most of all, I never lost my keys to the platform.

I didn’t understand the platform but I remember I saw it clearly written that if I miss my keys, no one can help me remember my keys. So I wisely wrote down my keys on my note book.

Me and steemit parted ways for two years, no one called anyone, we never visited each other, in my mind, I was completely done with steemit, like really done.

In the year 2020, I had already started developing my passion for drawing. I then remembered that I could share my drawings on steemit. Thanks to the God of all grace that my note book which I wrote down my keys wasn’t far to be fetched. So when I logged in, I saw several drawings that weren’t really upto what I draw receiving great rewards. In my mind, I was like, what the heck is this, I can draw far better than this fellow and I am sure I will really earn now that I have something creative to offer. But I never knew that behind offering the creativity lies consistency and engagement and it is this consistency and engagement that was earning that fellow all the good rewards he was getting.

My brothers and my sisters, I started posting my drawing, no one noticed it. I posted another, nothing happened, I began to calculate the hours I spend to finish one piece, that alone endowed me with more discouragement. I disappeared again from the platform went back to my dear facebook.

Brethren, long story made short, I visited the platform again in October 2020 and dropped the drawing of the late Chadwick Boseman a.k.a Black Panther and disappeared for another two months. I didn’t know that steemcurator01 came to settle my case but me I was off. Steemcurator01, out of his kindness did not pass me by, he robbed my post with the oil of gladness.

I came back by December to see what was going on in the platform. Lo and behold, the oil of gladness was dripping on my claim rewards bar. Without wasting time, I dived into the oil of gladness and began to laugh out loud.

I began to learn how to engage the platform. And here I am today, having zero regret why I joined steemit, onboarded and retained so many people to the platform, proud to talk to anyone anywhere about steemit and very happy to learn what it means to invest.

My whole being has been revamped by steemit, my mind has been transformed and my mentality drastically changed. Infact, I feel so so happy with my life and my life is happy with me too.
