Hii guys, It's been a while I made a blog post here and on today's post I'll be discussing extensively the types of roommates oon can meet in a university environment especially in a lodge.

It is of no doubt that life on campus can be really exhausting, stress-filled, and a lonely place when you don't have friends, friends who come to check up on you or keep you company. At times during one situation, one is compelled to get a roommate. I have seen what it is like to live with these kinds of people because I do visit most of my friends in school and I've firsthand seen how they relate with their roommates.

Roommates are sometimes a crucial determinant of ones academic growth of downfall in the university and I'm a living witness to that. Having a knowledge about the kind of roommate you might settle down with might help we the students to make wiser decisions based on getting a roommate, and if you are the type that loves your space but you need a roommate because you have a financial issue to tackle, this post would guide you on the types of roommate you might be expecting to live with.

The Different Types Of Roommates

The Neat And Organized

These sets of roommates are the best type of roommate one could ever wish for us you ask me, I mean who wouldn't want his room to be clean always. The always make sure the room is in perfect order and that things borrowed by the neighbors are always returned on time.

To live with these set of people you have to be neat or pretend to be at least. You keep your dirty clothes away from their sight and always wash your plates as soon as possible after eating as some of them are easily irritated by the slightest things. As long as it concerns neatness it the room leave it to them and don't mess up the place.

The playful ones

These are the ones that play too much, Never serious and are always in a mood called "The Cruise Mood". As long as you're a kinda guy that is always serious, you ll'd never like to be their and they ll'd try as much as possible to get on your nerves. Their character would still run off on you though but don't let it make you start taking things unserious.

The Quiet But Crazy roomies

These are the kind of roommates that are quite unpredictable. They ll be so quiet this minute and the next thing you ll'd see that vibing really crazy when someone comes to visit. And they can be really crazy around people, but would always keep it cool around their roommate.

Don't judge or blame these set of people for this sudden outburst and don't also underrate them as they can go really wild. I call them the "Unpredictable People" because you really can't tell what they're thinking because of their quite nature.

The Quiet And Boring

This is quite the opposite of the previous as their character, they are plainly boring and you cannot change that. These set of people are so boring that they can infect you with it and you become soo boring too, Sometimes when they're in a gathering with their friends and a statement is made for everyone to laugh, he usually laughs in a way to cover up the fact that the statement made wasn't funny at all to they or they just back a jaunty smile.

The Nerds

They are called "The Jackophytes or The First Class Materials". These are the most boring and uninteresting set of people that I watch speak and having them as roommates would have quite the effect on you especially when you are a dull brain or when you an average person who just loves simplicity. They ll'd always tell you uninteresting topics like lectures were out how they scored a B in their exam or even how their GP dropped from 4.5 to 4.3 and would always have little or no friends.

Anyone who comes by to see him for one reason the other would be compelled to join in his tiring questions like whether he copied his notes or finished his assignment and he would always know the names of all his lecturers for a new semester's course even before they begin lectures for the semester. And infact if you're not the type that easily adapts to living with people, these people would cause u psychological unrest.

The Fashionistas

These set of roommates are always concerned about the way he/she parents himself before people. They'll d always back it up with statements like "Dress The Way You Would Like To Be Addressed", "Appearance Matters" etc. One young lady in my lodge would always come to ask me how she looks and honestly she doesn't have the shape that matches the clothes but just getting that approval that she killed it gives her some sight of relief. I'm sure she ll'd have this imagination of herself as quite the dresser.

The Clumsy

These set of roommates are quite unlucky with handling the things because honestly they really don't care. They can't be trusted with the responsibility of handling stuff, It would always go wrong. Things just fall from their hands involuntarily, stuffs just get broken or spoilt and this can be very Frustrating if it's your own property.

The Chefs

These kind of roommates can't go a weeks without eating at least 6 meals in their own room. Every meal is a chance to try out an experiment, maybe the one they saw on YouTube or just a new technique they imagined from their head. You might be surprised to know that nowadays, it's guys that love cooking more.

I honestly need these kinds of roommate because I know how much I love good food to me it's mostly about the quality and not quantity. I appreciate these kind of persons because they're rare.

The Complainants

These categories are usually found in almost every room and there's this particular feature they have, they start exhibiting these features when they feel that they are better than you and that you're either clumsy, foolish, irresponsible of just that your pattern of life doesn't match with their.

These set of roommates often complain alot at the slightest things and they're not mostly naturally born this way, they develop this attitude on certain individuals, individuals who don't shun them whenever they are ranting recklessly. In short complaining set of people are just nightmares manifested in real life in human form that are just tempt people, get people around them upset and then lay low and play victim.

The Womanizers

I get that it's normal to like women and all but these guys??, These guys are the ones that take it to mind and have sworn to make their number 1 priority in life, they'll d spend their last card taking this girl out to impress her or but the latest designer clothes just to show off around women.

Whenever this works out and the girl comes over, their roommates would be compelled some certain time outside his lodge. This can disorganize one's activities for the day.

Outright Lousy phone freaks

These category are always on their phone 24/7 with their phones chatting, calling, or browsing the internet aimlessly. All they do with their phone is too charge it just to press it down to zero again.
They always seem to be really unhappy, and restless whenever their phones are dead, they are completely useless when their phone is with them charged. Some only charge their phones just to finish it on games. Funny enough I belonged to this category in my year one and the thing is that we do not do this phone pressing in a peaceful and quiet manner, we're always lousy bout it.

The Dirty ones

These category are very toxic to be roommates. Imagine someone soo dirty that infections don't get to him anymore, just you. That can be really alarming. They don't wash their clothes now take their bathe regularly, always wearing roll-ons and perfumes to combine with their sweat and odour, all these combining to form a great stench around them and maps all over the armpits of their clothes. It's just unhealthy to live with these kinds of people.

Movie addicts

These people don't really have much of a problem, real cool headed people but have their head torn off from people Ave society by prioritizing movies more. They can mention every movies published in each year and check out it's rating on IMDb. They can mention all the actors and actresses a movie has and can even tell you a whole movie even when you didn't ask them to. They are the ones that anticipate the dropping of movies more that normal.

The recently trending movie presently are "The Animes" and these movie addicts can get a 1 terabyte memory card to save all their movies to rewatch. I think these set of people are also awesome in their own way as I can't even see myself watching a whole seasonal movie nowadays, but they can, such patience!!.

The Plenty Friend roommate

It's normal to have quite a number of friends but having plenty friends is just too plenty. I've had a roommate in my year one that brought all of his friends once the room could not contain then.

They just had to stay at the corridor as the air if the room was congested. This is really bad because you're drawing quite the attention to yourself and everyone would begin to take you for granted. I would always sleep on the floor then because there are more than 7 people in there.
