MY CONTEST ENTRY
The University of Nigeria Nsukka is a federal university in Enugu State, Nigeria. It is popularly known as UNN, it was founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe who was Governor General of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963 and first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966. The University was formed in 1955 and formally opened in 1960. My university is situated in the eastern part of Nigeria, Enugu State, Nsukka L.G.A. It is rumored that Nnamdi Azikiwe liked the weather of Nsukka and decided to site the school there, funny right. The University offers diplomas in many departments, the university has 15 Faculties and 102 academic departments. The University also offers 108 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programmes. The University was officially opened on 7 October 1960, as regards to the Nigerian independence celebrations in the Eastern Region of Nigeria. Her Royal Highness, Princess Alexandra of Kent, standing in place of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Nigerian independence celebrations, performed the opening ceremonies and ushered the foundation stone of one of the University's early buildings.

WHY I CHOOSE MY CHOICE OF INSTITUTION
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has graduated many men and women of example in the society today they include; Obiageli Ezekwesili, Vice president World Bank and Federal Minister of Education from 2006–2007 and Solid Minerals Development from 2005–2006,Sullivan Chime who was the Former Governor of Enugu State, Nigeria from 2007 – 2015 and many more others. There also another condition, I choose UNN because of I am an indigene of Nsukka and it is closer to home and it provides an ideal environment for studying and learning. My department which is the department of pharmacy offers sate of the act equipment for experiment and a great teaching capability for students.
