YCampus Connect Contest Week 2 || Accomplishment and Failures So Far in The First Half of 2022 and My Expectation for Second Half by arinzegod12

Hello Campusconnect, I hope we are all doing great, it has been a tough year since since after the pandemic that shut down the entire world as human activities got restricted, now the post-pandemic era has not been easy as countries all over the world are facing the consequences of lockdown.

Economic hardship and the war in Ukraine has taken a huge toll on recovery from the pandemic, even the recent cryptocurrency crash, however all hope is not lost and despite these we have achieved certains and recorded certain failures as the First Quarter of the year comes to an end. I will be sharing my achievements and failures in the first half of 2022.

My achievement in the first half of 2022

2022 began just like every other year, 1st of January ushering in a new year with great hopes and expectation despite the catastrophy caused by the pandemic. This year has not been any easy but despite this I have achieved certain things which I am great for.

My first big achievement was when I got installed as the Welfare Director of the Rotaract Club of University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, I became a member of the Board of Directors in my club. This implies that I am in a position to be greatly involved in the decision making and proper running of the club. I am very grateful for this because it is something I have always looked forward to attaining. As the Welfare Director I am in charge of the welfare of my club members which is a huge responsibility.

My Second achievement came when I secured a collaboration between Rotaract Club of University of Nigeria Enugu Campus and Xquake a cryptocurrency charity organization. This collaboration was the first of its kind in Nigeria, with funding from Xquake we provided about 300 pupils of Trans-Ekulu Primary School with stationaries, school bags, books, pens, text-books and other academic materials needed to enhance learning.

This did not stop there, we also carried out other projects like a Feeding Program and Providing aid to motherless babies home.

This first half of the year I hit 1000sp and yes I am very close to the 2000sp mark as I have a total of 1878sp and I intend attaining 2000sp before the first half of the year runs out. So I have also seen improvement in the way I write, all thanks to steemit I understand and know better about cryptocurrency.

As the Rotary Year comes to an end this June, I was appointed the Community Service Director of my club. This means I am serving in the Board for another Rotary Year and I will be in charge of any community based charity project to be run by my club and I am grateful to God for this.

My Failures in the first half of 2022

Life is fool and ups and downs and most times we are responsible for our own mistakes and failures, we must acknowledge them not to repeat them again. I made a bad investment which I should have thought twice about. I acknowledge my fault because before you do something you have to check whether it is something you can keep up with. So I lost 130,000, I don't think about it that much because it is my fault it happened that way, I made the decision myself and I have to move on because better days ahead.

Also this month my Steemit Account got hacked, and it is one of the reasons for the delay I have in attaining 2000sp. The hacker withdrew steem that would have seen me reach that mark. However I am grateful that most of my steem were powered up and delegated and with the help of Steemit Team after reporting the incident my account was restored and I only lost a few steem from my payout that week.

My Expectations for the Second half

My expectations for the Second half are not that much, I am hoping they will call off the ASUU strike action so that I can return back to school and continue my studies, I have been stucked in 300level for two years and it is no longer funny. The more time I spend away from studies the more interest I lose. So hopefully by the grace of God the strike gets called off.

Also this second half of the year I expect some improvement in my steemit activities, I will like to make up to Three thousand steem or more. I also intend on getting better at my computer training program. So mastering this skill is another of my expectations for this second half of the year.

I expect that as soon as we resume school, our club activities will return back to normal. As the incoming Community Service Director, I am expected to carry out a number of projects for my club. I want to do something ground breaking again for my club and service to humanity through charity project.

Things I will do to make things work well

I will take my computer training program very very seriously, this will help me a lot in acquiring the needed skills in this digital and information age. I also on buying my own personal Laptop to aid with my own personal development. I want to build myself into a better version of me so that I can keep progressing.

To attain more than three thousand Steem, I have to improve the quality and quantity of my post, this will help me attain visibility and more upvotes, I also want to move from Club50 to Club75 or Club100. If I power up consistently and create better contents I will be able to achieve all these.

Also as the Incoming Community Service Director of my club, I intend to do a lot of projects, but to do this I need a lot of helping hands in terms of finance and man power. I will set up a Community Service Committee comprising of Six individuals that will aid in producing ideas for new projects and executing them. I also intend on partnering with other organisations to carry out projects with my club both local and international.

So I am hoping and believing I will be able to achieve all of this, yes their will be break downs along the way but with God on my side we shall prevail.
