What Is Computer Engineering??

Good day my fellow campus connect members
As I'm sure none of you know my course of study(lol), I feel like telling you all about it and my reason for deciding to study it
Firstly it's computer engineering
Everyone here knows computer's, heck some even know more than me. Computer engineering is basically engineering for computers but not just computers all computing devices in general.
It consists of both hardware and software engineering;
In hardware engineering we deal with the theories which help in the coupling and creation of computers starting from as basic as which materials to use to increase efficiency to how to connect the parts to reduce waste of energy and/or time.
Software engineering in the other hand speaks for itself it's basically learning about software's that are run on the computer. You learn various programming languages to enable you also create software's (in this case applications) to help make the computer as user friendly as possible
Now, the reason I'm studying this course is for the hardware part. Honestly speaking I've always had an affinity for hardware that inkling to know what's making it do as it does, to be responsible for the coupling of parts to build my own devices from my original concept and design (sounds good doesn't it?)
I hope I've been able to tell you all a little bit about the course I've chosen to study
