I will share content about travelling activities that I did some time ago with a group of my school friends. One of the tourist destinations that we visited at that time was a very famous and historical house of worship, namely Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman. This mosque is located in the capital of Aceh province and the beautiful mosque building is an icon of the Acehnese people who are known as the "mecca" region. The magnificent baiturrahman mosque building with charming architecture makes visitors who come feel amazed. This baiturrahmah mosque is an old mosque built during the time of the young iskandar sultanate. The mosque was expanded and restored so that it still stands strong today.

My admiration for the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is not only in the architecture of the building, but based on the history of this mosque, apart from being used as a house of worship, it was also a stronghold for the resistance of the Acehnese people in the past against invaders who wanted to seize Aceh.

The baiturrahman mosque was also a silent witness when the tsunami disaster hit the Aceh region on 26 December 2006. This mosque still stands firmly in the midst of the tsunami. What a power of Allah.

My school friends and I went on a religious tour of this mosque, we walked around this beautiful old mosque. The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque looks more beautiful at night with lights and umbrellas around the mosque courtyard.

The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque has always been visited by the community not only to perform worship but also to do tourism. The beauty of the baiturrahman mosque is also complemented by a beautiful garden at the front of the mosque yard.

In addition, inside the mosque, the floor is made of white marble from Italy, there are many white pillars with beautiful reliefs on the pillars and walls inside the mosque.

The baiturrahman mosque has 7 kubah and 8 minarets and is an iconic building in Aceh because it is not only a historical mosque but also a mosque that is used as the centre of religious activities and Islamic education in Aceh.

At that time, my friends and I did not waste the opportunity to observe the baiturrahman mosque and its surroundings. We also did a photo session together using a black uniform outfit and a pink uniform.

We captured moments of togetherness when visiting this iconic mosque. We also prayed at the mosque. Afterwards we relaxed while admiring the cosy and calming atmosphere around the meajid. As an Acehnese citizen, I feel proud to know about the history of the baiturrahman grand mosque and to be able to
directly see its beauty.
