Steemit Engagement Challenge S9W3 - Time is money
Is the term “time is money” appropriate? Explain your reasons?
The term “Time is money” is very appropriate and it is simply a proverb that depicts that time is as valuable as money. This proverb simply stresses on the fact that one has to make very good use of their time and just like money, time should be treated as a valuable resource and shouldn’t be used recklessly or wasted on irrelevant things. Wasting one’s time is equal to wasting money because the both of them can be used for very important and productive purposes that can yield huge results overtime.
How do you value time?
I value my time each day, month and year by setting goals that I would want to achieve in each of them and setting a deadline for myself. Then i engage in the time management technique of creating a to-do list so it can help me stay on track and I also try as much as possible to avoid any form of distraction that can take away my time unnecessarily.
In general, I value my time by recognizing the fact that time is important to me and I could actually achieve a lot tasks each day, month or year by knowing how to manage it effectively.
How to manage your time to stay productive in Steemit in the past week?
Each week, I tend to set clear goals on what I would want to achieve on Steemit then I check for the contest for the week and create a calendar on how I plan to write the post for each contest allocated for the week. Then I also set aside my evening time for each day for engaging with community by reading people’s posts and comments and responding to people’s comments on my posts.
Then in the night, I do some research on the contest that I’m going to be participating on the next day so that I will know exactly what I’m going to write about. I try my best to reduce my use of social media because overtime I discovered that it was my major source of distraction given that I have to do the Steemit post on my phone and some messages on my social media handle might pop in causing me to want to check them out and then spending a lot of time on the app thereby making me waste my time on unnecessary things such as watching reels on Instagram or viewing statuses on WhatsApp and the likes.
So what I do whenever I want to start working or posting on Steemit is that I turn off my cellular data for my social media apps so I don’t get any notifications from them😌. I also take breaks from the screen, go for stretches and eat when necessary to avoid burning out because being on Steemit all day can be tiring so those little breaks are paramount in other to maintain productivity.
Contest : Time is money has ended almost two months ago, so this post is no longer relevant for entering the contest.
