The long story of inflation

Just recently there's been a spike in fuel prices, I don't know about your area but I have never dreamt or imagined that I'll ever buy prices at such an astronomical level, never! But it's happening and I have no other option but to accept it.

Not that I use fuel for anything now, I mean, I don't have a car or a generator in my house, oh how I wish I had one of these. But as a result of the spike in fuel prices, there was also an increase in the prices of everything else from the costs of goods to the costs of services in this small town, everything is in a competition to be the most expensive.

You're wondering how fuel prices affects every other goods and services, like how are they related, right? Me too, I had thought about it for a while now and here's a simple breakdown of the whole matter here:

Price of fuel went up higher, almost double the initial price and as a result the closest and most reliant service to it, Transportation, was affected. T. Fare went up almost immediately and doubled too, so we now pay #100 for what used to be #50. Just a reminder that the word transportation basically means to move from one place to another and if its too far, then you need a bus if you don't own a car. People as well as businesses do this on a daily.

In business, there's something known as the "Cost price". In primary school I had presumed this only involved the amount used to purchase a commodity but as i grew older and did some business myself, I knew it was more than that. For one, the cost of "transportation" had to come to the equation of the cost price. You see the connection here now.

So even when the price of other commodities didn't actually go up and wasn't planning to, the increased cost of transportation forced them to( all except one, the "Salary") and as such the increased cost of living. Mhhheennn. Hmm.

All this long story can be described with one word, Inflation. I could have gone the easy way and just say this word from the start, but I wanted you to understand something first. Inflation is an enemy of the currency, it constantly beats down the value. Just as in the case of my transportation, #50 could no longer take me to my destination but #100 would. Imagine someone who had saved up some money to buy some fuel, guess what, that money might just give him half of what he wants.
