Steem Entrepreneur : Summer Vacation Contest!

Hello guys,
It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which is titled "Summer Vacation Contest!" which was organized by @hamzayousafzai. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @josepha, @bonaventure24, and @owulama to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

Where did you go, and what inspire you to choose this destination?

This summer I wanted a little rest hence I left the city or town where I was working to a remote village called Obanleku. It is a place where farmers dominate mostly. Due to the fertility of the land, the people here love cultivation crops like cocoa and other fruits.

I was inspired to visit this place by some.of my friends who have continuously talked about the beauty of this environment over time. Also I needed to see things for myself and not been told always.

So since it is a free period for me I decided to go there and then see things for myself. It was indeed a place to be because they environment is so calm and peaceful unlike the live in town where you need to struggle for everything. I enjoyed the trip.

What was the highlight of your trip or staycation?

The trip was filed with many encounters. For the first I saw how welcoming this people can be because they treat people especially strangers very welcoming. I was so delighted at the welcome reception they gave me and even while making my findings about their ways of life and agriculture they gave me all the needed information.

In essence, it was a pleasant trip and anyone will love to visit this place as well. I have plans to also go there some other time again because I found peace and fulfilment in the village. People there are so different from what we see in the town. If humans can be this accommodating and welcoming then the world will e a better place.

Did you learn anything new or have any memorable experiences you would like to share ?

Yes, as I said earlier, I went to know more about their farming method which the planting of cocoa. You all know how important cocoa is as it is used to make beverages such as chocolate and others. I saw how the plant and harvest s well as sun dry it before selling to different companies who transform it into what we need.

So this and many more are what I learnt from my summer journey this time. I must say here that I really had a lot of fun in the journey and I will surely want to have such an experience again and again. What I intend to learn I didn't have the enough time to learn it but I have plans of going back there to get the basic knowledge needed.
