Business Activists - When fishermen sell river fish on the highway.[20 September 2022]
Today is Tuesday. There is a market called Motherganj adjacent to Atrai river in Chirirbandar upazila. This market is located on the main road. It is a small market. But all bald vegetables are available in this market. I visit this market occasionally to buy fresh and formalin free food products. Today I will go to that market again to look for good products. Different types of fresh fish from the river are also available in this market.
Fresh vegetables and fish are available in that market in the morning and afternoon.Many people gather in this market in the afternoon. Next to this market there is a village about 1 km away. There is a group of fishermen in that village. All the people of our Chirirbandar upazila know this fishermen community or group. These fishermen have been selling fish there for 20-25 years.
Today I will go to the fish seller of that market after many days to buy big fish from the river. After passing about 20 kilometers from our house, we reached Motherganj market in Chirirbandar upazila. The fish sellers of this market stand on the roadside and sell fish.
Today, the big fish of the river is not in the market. To buy this fish from the city government employees also buy fish. Because those who sell fish in this market are fishermen themselves. They work hard and struggle to earn a living by fishing in the river without eating. Unadulterated fish is available to them.
They always sell fresh and live fish. This increases the demand of buyers to buy fish. They sell fish at a much lower price than other big markets. They also sell fish in excess weight. All in all, creating a wonderful atmosphere, they sell all the goods.
They bring small fish to the market today for sale. These are freshwater fish. Very tasty to eat. The fish they bring to the market for sale today. Such as: Bine fish, Boal, Joar, Rui, Putimach, Mrigel and Kai fish.
