Red oil is a very lucrative business, one in town business because there is no soup making with little or more drop of red oil. it is been used in making native jellof rice as well especially the one we call (concoction rice).

Brief introduction about palm tree
just as you may know, there's no waste in palm tree, from the root, stem, leaves (frond), down to the fruit is very much usuful in the entrepreneurship market. when you cut a palm tree, the stem you use it for building, the broom we use today is gotten from the palm frond, and the fruit is where the oil comes from. the nut in the fruit is very nutritious, it is called karnel (aki). We use this karnel to produce a very nourishing body cream when being cooked.

Process of making red oil
The process of getting red oil is very stressful and can be seen as hard job for ladies unless she's been assisted. When you must have gathered your palm fruit, you cover it with tampons so that the fruits can easily be selected. in 3 days time you select the fruits and take it to oil mill where you cook the palm fruit for like 3-4hours depending on the heat of the fire.
must jobs in the production of the palm oil is usually done by men, because it is a very difficult one. so after boiling you take it over to the engine that will press out the oil. there is also an engine that separate the karnel from the chaff. this chaff is used for making fire.

2. it protect the brain from malfunction
3. it gives taste to food etc.
