Steem engagement challenge-S12/W3|My first experience of receiving an ample vote on steemit.

Everyone of us who are working so hard on this platform is expecting support from the steemcurators because that is the only way to appreciate your good works.

There's always a first time. in this platform, the majority of us have experience huge support from the steemcurators, especially from steemcurator01, and I know how motivated you get after the votes.

Share your first experience of getting an ample vote on steemit(can share post link- optional).

That feeling.

When I joined this platform, i only believe that steemcurators would vote for you according to your reputation and how popular you were on the platform.

That means the higher your reputation the more support you get.( don't blame me please)

But as time goes on, I understand how it's work. normally, when I joined, I was focusing more on my achievement post, so they amount of support I got was like $2.30, $3.40, and $4. 45, the highest amount I received was like $5 to $7 per post, but I never thought of giving up. I was still believing one day I will receive support from the steemcurator01.

And it finally happened recently, about three weeks ago. I woke up one morning and saw the surprise on my notifications.

First, I didn't believe it; I had to turn off my data, turn it back on, and still refresh my chrome before I believed it was real.

With that joy, I started commenting on others posts back-to-back. Going out of the site was difficult at that moment.

It's funny, but you won't understand what it means to me. That was my best moments on this platform.

How were your feelings after getting your first ample support?

At that point, I was feeling so motivated. this is something I have been working to get for a very long time now, but the highest I got was booming support.

Last year, I tried all my best to receive a vote from steemcurator01, but It' didn't work out.

Well, I think my content then was not that good enough to receive such a vote.

Giving up was never an option, and it will never be an option for me. even when i stop receiving support I keep on publishing more content.

Hmmm, my journey on Steemit as a new member was not easy at all; the person who introduced me to this platform didn't give me the full details on how it works.

the person who introduced me to this platform was @brigth-obias. He assisted me in creating an account on Steemit that day, and after that he left and promise to guide me through my achievement post. After some days' I tried reaching him on WhatsApp to remind him; I even called him, but he didn't reply.

after disturbing him for some time, he letter reply on WhatsApp and send me a screenshot of what my writing would look like. I manage to write my achievement post on my own, and he sent me a video on how to apply markdown. (All this process takes about three weeks.)

To cut a long story short, my achievement was posted, and after some weeks, my achievement two was also posted, and I hit my first vote.

I was like, wow, after claiming my rewards, I immediately sold out the steem because he didn't tell me anything about powering up, and that was one of the things that stop me from getting support earlier.

The worst part is that he totally left the platform after one month and change locations. at this point, I was so frustrated that I didn't even know what to do. I kept on sending him massages, and he finally refer me to an old Steemian close to me. he tried all his best to teach me the little he knew, and from there, I start learning on my own by reading others post.

When my boss lady, @patjewell, saw my effort, she took her time to correct me on my mistake. she even send me some of her content, which she wrote years ago on the main reason why post gose wrong this was one of her piece of content that promote my writing skills, and I will like to refer all the newbies to go through it.

Guess what? after one week of reading that content, I finally received an upvote from steemcurator01, so I will advise all newbies to go through it.

Share a few suggestions required to follow, and some need to avoid here.

This platform is simple to understand; as a newbie, all you need is a mentor, a person who can tell you the right thing to do on the platform.

Immediately, you join this platform. I will advise you to complete you achievement post at least from achievement 1-5. it will help you understand a lot about the platform.

As a new member, you should focus more on learning about the platform to avoid unnecessary mistake.

I made a lot of mistakes, and I won't advice any newbies to experience what I pass through. The mistake I made was withdrawing my first earnings 🤦 please if you're a new member of this platform make sure you build your club from #club5050 to #club100.

Avoid any form of plagiarism if you really want to grow, write what you know and learn.
