There really is no age or limit to maturity just as there is no age to acquire education.
People can mature in any situation. There are many who are very old but still not mature because they are not dependent on themselves, doubt people, afraid to make decisions, also various problems.
Anyway nice to acquire your writing. I wish you success in your competition.
