Incredible India monthly contest of November #2|Are you for or against online shopping?
I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. How are you all ?. I hope you all are well and doing great in your life .Today I am participating in this Incredible India monthly contest of November #2|Are you for or against online shopping? organized by @meraindia in Incredible India Community. So let's start.
Which shopping style do you prefer, online or offline? Reasons.
I prefer both online and offline shopping depending on the situation. For example, if I have to do majr shopping like buying dresses, shoes, or items for a festival, thenn I prefer offline shopping. Going to the market allows me to check the quality of the items myself.
I enjoy visiting shops and selecting dresses or shoes after touching and trying them. This way, I can ensure the quality before buying. For instance, when shopping for clothes and shoes, touching the fabric and trying the shoes gives me confidence in my purchase.
Online shopping is convenient for me when I want to buy smaller items like home decorations or makeup products. I frequently order such items online and check customer reviews before making a purchase.
Platform Daraz is very popular in our country for online shopping, and I use it a lot to buy makeup, decorations, and other small household items. For example, I search for makeup products like lipstick or decoration items and buy them after reading reviews.
I also remember an experience when I needed a backpack for university. I searched online and found some beautiful optons that looked perfect, but after reading the reviews, I noticed many complaints about poor quality. This made me uncertain about ordering online.
So, I decided to go to the market with my mother. After checking several shops, especially branded ones, I found a bag that had excellent quality and was reasonably priced. It turned out to be much better than what I had seen online. The same type of bag online was much more expensive, and its quality wasn’t guaranteed.
Share both the Pros and cons of both shopping styles!
First, let’s talk about offline shopping. The biggest advantage of offline shopping is that we can check the quality of products ourselves. For example, if we are buying clothes or shoes, we can touch the fabric, try them on, and make sure they suit us.
When buying makeup products, we can apply them and see how they look on us before deciding to buy. Another benefit of offline shopping is that we can bargain with shopkeepers to get a better price. Visiting multiple shops gives us experience and helps us understand trends, like which products are in high demand.
Over time, when we shop frequently from the same shop, we build a friendly relationship with the shopkeeper, who may offer us better deals.
There are also some disadvantages of offline shopping. Sometimes markets are far from our home, and traveling there can take a lot of time and ysss we may end up buying more items than needed because we think we should make the most of our visit.
Another issue is that we may discover later that the same product was available at a lower price in another shop.
Now, let’s discuss online shopping. The best part about online shopping is that it’s very convenient we can shop from the comfort of our home. If we need something, we can simply search for it online and find plenty of options. We can also read customer reviews to check the quality of the product before buying.
Online shopping provides detailed information about products, such as sizes and availability, which makes it easier to decide. I often use daraz to buy makeup and decoration items after reading reviews from other users. It saves a lot of time and effort.
But online shopping has its *disadvantages" too. Some online companies are fraudulent and may deliver fake products instead of the original ones. I’ve personally experienced this when I ordered makeup online, and the product I received was of very poor quality, causing skin irritation
Delivery issues are also common products might arrive broken, damaged, or completely different from what we ordered. Sometimes returning such items is difficult, and we have to bear the loss.
Do you have any bitter experience with online or offline purchases? Share.
Yes, I’ve had some bitter experiences, especially with online shopping. Offline shopping rarely causes issues because we can physically see and check the products before purchasing. However, sometimes I’ve noticed that a product I bought offline is available online at a much cheaper price. This can be frustrating but isn't as significant as the challenges I’ve faced with online shopping.
This month, I had two disappointing experiences with online shopping. I used my Steemit earnings to purchase a few items online. I ordered a tint ,a hijab cap , a blush, and a handheld mirror. While most of the items arrived in good condition, the blush and mirror had issues.
First, the blush was not the shade I ordered. I specifically chose a pink shade, but they sent me a peach color instead, which doesn’t suit me at all. This was quite disappointing.
Secondly, the mirror I ordered was much smaller than it appeared in the online image. In addition to that, the mirror arrived with a broken corner, even though it was packed very well.
From the packaging, it didn’t seem like it broke during transit, so I suspect it was already damaged before being packed. Because of the damage, the mirror doesn’t reflect properly, and I haven’t even used or displayed it yet.
These experiences have made me more cautious about online shopping, as such issues can be frustrating and time consuming to resolve. These were my recent bitter experiences, which I wanted to share.
That's it from today's blog I hope you will like it. With best wishes ❤️. Now I like to invite @aviral123, @abdul-rakib and @neelofar to participate in this amazing contest.
