RE: Incredible India monthly contest of September#1|My choice of food!

Thanks for inviting me because it gives me an opportunity to tell that I am a vegetarian for almost 20 years and the reason for being vegetarian is not based on any health issue.

There was a time when I used to eat Tandoori stuff and chicken but stopped everything including smoking because my most loved one forbade me to do so.

I remember my China trip in 2007 and lived practically on fruits, bread, and milk for three days. So, as you said, my favorite food is vegetarian.

That's a big sacrifice and I am sure even with a strong will power there must be so many challenges you must have faced. It sounds easy but it is not easy to give up on something completely. Also the body reacts in different ways for some.
When my hubby gave up on smoking all of a sudden he ended up with an autoimmune condition :-(

No, I didn't face much of a problem after giving up smoking. Yes, I felt like smoking for the first few days but then I started to hate smoking so much that I couldn't even smell if someone smoked near me. It's been decades since I haven't touched non-veg or cigarette and I miss nothing.

That's really nice, will power matters the most in these things and you surely have one of a hell

Or you can say, my willpower brought me back from the gate of hell if I had not given up my smoking habit just in time.
