The diary game: A Day After Steemit Registration. Monday, 20th November,2023

After leaving my mentors house at 6:30pm. I went straight to my elder sister's shop . When I got there my sister was not around. But her sales personnel gave me a piece of information she had left. Don't think too much it's was nothing serious . She actually asked me to prepare dinner. I love to cook!
So I got right on to it.i prepared yam and beans . The beans I used was oloka or aluka as it is called in Akwa-ibom. It is one variety of beans that is very delicious it tastes sweet like a little sugar was added by the creator , it's seeds a tiny and light brown in colour.

I planned on returning to school but I finished cooking at 8: 22pm. The hostel is usually locked at 9:00pm so I decided not to risk compulsory night class . So I joined my sister and her family to their house I spent the night there.

My alarm rang at 6am. I woke up and started preparing to leave for school. And at 6:30am I was already on my way back to school.

30mins later I arrived at school and decided to wash my clothes , I usually wash on Monday because there are always so many washing on the weekends. Matter of line space make me wash after the drama and chaos are over. I used to wash on Tuesdays because Tuesday was my day off from my teaching work. But that changed due to the fact that I got assigned another school.

I finished washing at few minutes pass 8am. and hurried to the bathroom only for the bathroom be locked by the cleaners. Oh no I'm gonna be late for class or skip the class altogether. I didn't want that to happen, so thought to myself 'what other options do I have?'. Then I decided to go to the neighbouring hall to have my bath . Fortunately, the cleaners over there had not started working and I was allowed to go in and bathe .

I prepared hurriedly Cause I was running late. The class was scheduled to hold at 9am . I ran out of the room few minutes to the time and started walking briskly to the class . I got the venue late but I was thankful that the lecturer had not yet arrived. So I met my mates waiting outside at law garden.

I walked up to where they were and said hello, then I started chatting with the ones that were closer to where I stood. Few minutes later lecturer arrived and filled into the class , meanwhile i had but a snack for breakfast . So munched it while presentations was on . The group presented on Toni Morrison's Beloved.

Toni Morrison was an American novelist she was born on 18th February 1931 and died on the 5th of August 2016. She wrote many books, her works include: the bluest eye, tar baby, jazz, songs of Solomon, beloved etc. Her works always point to black history and the plight of the black Americans. To Morrison history is an unfinished business.

So the group presented on beloved a novel that portray the African American ordeal during the slave era and how their experiences has affected the psyche of the black Americans. The book is written in two parts , the first part highlight the experiences of black Americans during the slave era while the second part portray the life of the ex slave in the present. How those experiences have come back to hunt them in the present. The class ended at exactly 10am. And moved to the next venue where the next class would hold.

The class end at 12pm and I returned to the hostel to take a nap while waiting for the next class. After the last class I went back to the hostel showered and when to the cafeteria to eat. Then I returned to the hostel . At the hostel I changed into my night wear and just lay in my bed , started writing this story on here but couldn't complete it due to network issue.
