Art Explained By A Writer: En dreng hviler i skyggen af et bondehus
Know what
I've had it with her
Who says he didn't go get cigarettes?
I'm waiting here at my leisure
Oh sunshine
How hot
The earth under my bare feet.
Oh what!
What is she babbling on about
I wish I didn't hear her voice
But
Those nasty words
Pounding in my head
Your father left
Disappeared into thin air.
So what
Stop
Stupid rotten bitch!
It's all your fault
I wish you didn't exist
Shut up!
I won't listen to you
I'll stay outside
-Even if its forever-
Till my father comes to pick me up.
Marie Luplau - En dreng hviler i skyggen af et bondehus (1886)
And you?
You can sink in the mud or better
Put your feet in the soil
Be a tree
At least that way you're used
On a sunny, warm day
When someone wants to sit in the shade
Waiting
I'll wait, at least until night falls.

Your interpretation of the painting is quite unique and beautifully said 😉 oohh it's not interpretation but a story about what I see in the painting. Love it!
The Dutch version is better LOL I couldn't find the right words/translation to express how the boy feels but altogether it's realistic.Someone has to take the blame and being a tree isn't bad at all.
Thanks for your comment I love it.
It's interesting how artists like to be upvoted but are not promoting themselves or willing to support others. Let's see if anyone reads at all or if it's time to withdraw support.
