HOW TO DRAW WITH SCRIBBLES - FOR BEGINNERS (LESSON 2 RESULTS) .

in ᴀʀᴛ & ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴛꜱ14 days ago

Hello Steemians and Art lovers,
I hope you're all observing a great day?

For a very long time as an Artist, I've always thought about how to keep developing my skills and how to use them to impact others but I have never thought of teach people who aren't artist how to draw or how to paint as a way of impacting until this!

Hvaing to start this lessons here on steemit really made me think for a long time but doing it and seeing the reactions and responds from people just made me realized that it's actually possible to feel so much fulfillment in teach just as much as you do while practicing and this as answer one question I've always had in mine for a very long time.

I grew up and studied in schools where the teachers and lecturers are not so rich financially, and I keep wondering why they stick to thier jobs even though the pay doesn't seem good enough, now I know why.

For this lesson, we had 6 entries just like we did with the first one, some new learners and some devoted members of the class. Firstly, I would like to appreciate all the participants, one thing is to love art, another thing is to practice it, and another thing is to be willing to learn it which can be more tasking. Thank you all for being willing to learn with me. I am grateful and happy to be your instructor.

This would be the most important lesson in this post as far as Drawing/Art is concerned. Although, there are templets and instructions to art but the strength of every art lies in the confidence and freedom displayed in it by the artist and this can not be taught but built with constant practice by the Artist.

I am quite pleased with all the attempts, however, there'll always be grading for the sake of encouragement and development.

@henryclive

This was @henryclive's first attempt in the lessons and seeing this at first glance, I saw one who is capable of becoming a very good professional artist. Either by instinct or learning, his piece shows how much understanding he has about balance, shading and contrast. It's a very good one and I am so impressed.

@rashid001

This is Rashid's second attempt in this lesson and I must say that I see as a artist already, however, I think he needs create more solid relationship between his object drawn and the shadow. The space in between isn't needed, he should make his strokes flow with more sense of freedom and he needs to add more darker values at the bottom of his drawn object.

@wakeupkitty

If I am being sincere, Kitty really got me on this one. It's just so impressive compared to what I have seen Kitty showcase in the past. There's so much interest and coordination portrayed in this piece and personally, I love that she decided to have her object as though it's lying down. It's so beautiful but however, her tonal build up isn't so calculated, she didn't intentionally and carefully pick out her spotlight area, looking at her attempt, I could easily pick out two different spotlight areas and yes, she needs to introduce more darker values at the based of her object in order to achieve an interesting sense of contrast.

@stef1

This is another beautiful attempt by @stef1 but then, I know Stef is an artist and I sincerely expected more from her. I think firstly, her camera didn't do justice to the picture she uploaded cause I couldn't enjoy the sight of the lines in her drawings so well from my end. Aside from that, she displayed her balance well, but she could have added more darker values at the base of the object to achieve more contrast.

@jiva34

Iike I said in the previous results, I love Jiva's confidence a lot but I think for the first time, I would have to make a suggestion for him only for now. If he would be making another attempt, I would advice he uses a pen this time and then keeps his scribbles within his object and not outside the object like he has done in his two previous attempts.

@jpegg

Jpegg has beautiful styled drawing but because this is a scribble lesson, I would have give my comments on scribble terms. He used more hatching and cross hatching techniques in making his drawing which isn't bad but not what was required for this lesson. And yes, for scribbles, whenever you're working on a small sized piece like you are for these lessons, always use materials (Pen, pencils etc...) with a tiny nib/mouth so has to easily have your strokes bound well with and within each other. Thank you.

THANKS FOR STOPPING!

Sort:

I want to thank you for teaching us the technique of scribble drawing. In the past I tried to make some drawings with a pen arround 3 years ago, as I know a Pen Artist @maxwellmarcusart. But I couldn't draw properly like the ones they made.

However, now I'm confident that I will learn this technique because the way you explain it in detail is very helpful and easy to understand.

And I'm even more delighted to be on the winners' list this time. I will try to improve my drawing by practicing it.

I would like to encourage all the friends who shared their drawings in their own unique way using this technique. Trying is better than doing nothing.

Thank you very much. Stay Blessed.

"I would advice he uses a pen this time and then keeps his scribbles within his object and not outside the object like he has done in his two previous attempts." Thank you for taking the time to explain in some detail what to work on. Looking forward to Saturday... I am doing some writing for Steemit contests and using AI for the illustrations. If I can learn to draw like this I could avoid AI. Thank you.

You're very much welcome. I am certain of it, as you keep practicing, you'll surely get better!

I greatly appreciate the fact that you saw something I couldn't and that I had highly doubted in myself. The world needs more teachers like you. Please keep going. You've added more value here than I gave you credit for. Now that I'm here, I hope to learn more from you.
