CONTEST: SCRIBBLING (LESSON 5).
Great Day Steemians,
It's finally time to move from still life to life. Now we shall begin to study different parts of the human body until we can finally capture the full figure of different persons. It took me some time before I finally decided that it would be cool to study the human parts.
What do you all think of this next chapter?
THE LESSON!
The essence of this particular lesson is not drill everyone into making a perfect drawing but to keep room to everyone to be able to understand their own drawing style and techniques in scribbles and to be able to own their own expressions and portray it as confident and as beautiful as it displays in their thoughts.
I sketched a human ear yes! But even at the same angle, not all human ears appears exactly like this. We all have some sort of differences and uniqueness and I really want use to observe, capture and appreciate those uniqueness and differences in this study.
As you can see in my progress shots, I first of all sketch out the actual shape of the ear carefully even though I still decided to play around at some point... 😂... But want every attempt to start this way. Make out your actual sketch, map out your darkest areas has it has been taught in some of the previous lessons.
Only start shading with your scribbles only when you're sure that you've gotten the unique shape of the ear that you're trying to draw. For this kind of drawing, the shape of the reference is very important and it determines a lot when it comes to the success of the study.
THE CONTEST!
I think this one should be even more fun....
Pick a picture of a human ear from this same angle I drew from, make a very careful sketch of the shape first, then gradually develop the shading with your scribbles until you've finally achieved your middle tones and your darkest tones where needed.

SCRIBBLE EAR CONTEST
Hi guys,
The scribble method of drawing is a liberating and expressive technique that allows artists to tap into their creativity and capture the essence of a subject. By abandoning the need for precision and perfection, artists can focus on conveying the energy, movement, and emotion of a subject through quick, gestural marks. This technique not only warms up the drawing muscles and encourages experimentation, but also develops observation skills and allows artists to see the world in a new way. As a result, the scribble method is an invaluable tool for artists of all levels, from beginners looking to build confidence to experienced artists seeking to loosen up and explore new creative avenues.
Although the scribble method is not really my specialized turf but it is an experience worth having as an artist because there’s no limit what so ever neither is there a rule to limit your artistic expression

Beautiful strokes!
Are those earrings?
I think it is or? I like it. In my family, we have also more than one, two.. .
That’s awesome, that sounds like a very creative family
More than one ear piercing you mean?
Yes, that's what I mean. Ever heard of Mathilda Willink?
Thank you!
Yes they are earrings
Okay.
BTW, they are really nice.
And don't know how come.. but if I watch your scribble pictures I see that ear grow! I wonder about the paper you are using. Is it meant for painting/water colour?
Thank you so much for your kind words about my scribble art! I'm thrilled that you noticed the details, like the ear growing. That's exactly what I aim for - to capture the essence and movement of my subjects. As for the paper, I actually use cartridge paper, which is surprisingly versatile. It's great for sketches, drawings, and even mini watercolor paintings. The texture and durability make it an ideal choice for my artistic experiments.
Thanks again for your encouragement and for appreciating my art!
Great to read that the growing ear isn't a trick of my mind, or bad eyes 🤣
You did it well and I wonder how more will notice it. I find it great!
Thanks for the info about the paper. It seems like a good choice and I assume it's not as expensive.
♥️🍀
I’m glad you enjoyed the work
The cost of paper varies on location.

you are getting better and better! You missed your profession.
Having a good teacher makes all the difference. He's going to take us to faces and bodies. Yikes... Get ready...
I think you should get a kiss for this! 😊
Ini hasil coretan saya sendiri
Mengundang @abdullah79 , @rissi
It's a great start @bahrol. We scribble so the lines of the sketch don't have to be drawn that clearly. IT's more about lines, stripes, waves, and circles but nevertheless, I am impressed and happy you join us.
If you look at the other lessons you will find more tips.
A great, creative day
@wakeupkitty

Hi @wakeupkitty, yes I do have a scribble of a ear although I’m not quite sure if I’m to post it under @tezzmax post or directing on my profile in other to not go against the rule.
🌚🌚🌚
It is a comment contest but if you also like to make a post about it, it's up to you. You can always share the other ear
