Have you tried maybe finding a tutorial on youtube? I must say that before my first attempt I had to watch a few videos to get used to the technique. As for the photo as an example, I use the photo only to make the first sketch, the rest is my imagination. To reproduce the whole photo with this technique, seems difficult to me. Maybe you should reproduce the picture drawn with this technique? I mean, line by line. Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope you don't give up.
Yes, I did and I also shared some (including different drawing techniques) in this community. Perhaps it is good to make a post and add a few videos so it's easier to find back? Mine are all in the comment section of some post as we discussed it.

I have another ear laying around I might use it to "listen". LOL
Maybe it's a good idea to create such a post. I think I will try to write such a post in the future, sharing my progress and things that helped me.
