Greetings my dear steem artist how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be sharing with you all about my wonderful art piece.

Here I will be making a drawing of a building block which of course is our school department block where in other to get a nice view of it I then had to take a picture of it then start drawing.

And below are some of the materials I used in my drawing;

  • Black pen
  • 12B pencil
  • White card board paper

Step 1

In this step which of of course the first step of my drawing I then started by sketching out the forms of the building I wanted to detail it as possible so I didn't want to skip anything.

Surprisingly I started my sketching with a pen and the reason why I did that was because when mistake is done with pen you can't clean it so it motivated me to be as careful as possible.

Step 2

In this step I might have finish with my sketches and at this point I then switched from pen to pencil and started my shading, the shading was some how simple because all I needed to do was just to know the dark part and the light part

Step 3

In this stage I have gone a long way in getting what I wanted out of the drawing as you all can see the windows the pillars as well as the first stainless rail, but I was just getting started because I still had a lot of detail to give to the drawing including the floor tiles that was there

Step 4

Which of course is the final stage, after many hours of my time I dedicated to the drawing I had finally given all the necessary details to my drawing as seen in the above picture you can see the hall way, the windows and a whole lot of details.

So now you can go ahead and compare the final results with the actual picture and give me your rating in the comments section.

This is a very nice architectural drawing. Have you ever tried freehand drawings before? I think you should and I would love to see the outcome of your attempt.

Welcome to the Art and Artist community 🤗🥰

Trust me that's a free hand drawing

Oh, that's nice. Thought it was one created with tools such as the ones used for measuring....

Hi @radleking.
Welcome. It's fine not to write many words if you are not such a writer.

I find it hard to see your photos if you place them together. They show small on my phone (the size of a stamp) which makes it hard to see the details.

Interesting I find the reason you gave why you sketch with a pen.

If it comes to your question:
The drawing is not the same as the photo and if I had to pick one I would go for the drawing. I like the floor more it triggers the fantasy and makes one wonder where that "road" leads to. Opportunities? 😍
