ONIDIRI (HAIR DRESSER)
Here’s one of my recent piece which I love to share
The piece is titled ONIDIRI (it’s a Yoruba language here in Nigeria, Africa ) which means hair dresser in English.
What I tend to achieve with the piece is to reflect the moment and shared connections and the value of hand work.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS:
The piece was made with white pencil on acid free black paper, and was executed with hatching technique.
My initial plan has always been my careful and carefree sketch.
After the sketch, that made it reasonable enough to start adding more details like light and dark.
Gradually adding more details and depth.
Still adding more details and to be honest, I was so free with it probably because I knew what I was doing while considering my light and dark and not taking things too serious, just going with the flow.
The outcome.
