Memories are the only thing we have left of life, of those magical moments and loved ones. Only those who are not remembered, who are forgotten, die.

The love of the family and towards our ancestors and roots should not be ignored.

The family, besides being the fundamental basis of society, is love in its maximum expression. Only family unity brings out the spirit of improvement in human beings.

Mexico is one of the countries that practice the cult of the Day of the Dead celebration. Their tradition instills the value of remembering their ancestors and they are still related to them through the cult and the creation of a festive altar in which they decorate with photos and place offerings because they consider that their existence in the afterlife depends on remembering them in this present world. For them, it is essential to visit their deceased in the cemetery.

In the Disney and Pixar movie Coco, love and family unity are evident.

The main character Miguel is a teenager, a stage where young people think they know it all and are always right.

My dear Miguel has a big dream of being a singer, however, his family hates music. Knowing this, in his hideout he enjoys the songs of his idol Ernesto de la Cruz, plays his guitar, and dream.

Everything goes wrong for being in a hurry, and for fighting for what he wants. He destroys the altar, which is something unforgivable in the family.

When Miguel plays the guitar, he casts a spell, and this is where the entanglements begin. Together with Dante, they live a story of music and color that envelops us and fills us with tears.

I love all the characters in the movie. I was dazzled with the soundtrack that was in charge of the American Michael Giacchino.

This film was released in 2017 and was directed by Adrian Molina and Lee Unkrichcon. It has a running time of 105 minutes.

Coco is from Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

It won the statuettes for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song with the melody "Remember Me" at the 90th Oscar Awards Ceremony.
