I strongly agree with that it's Indeed is a bad manner. When you think you can manipulate, control and get closer to that person by doing so then you're wrong. Drop the feeling that you feel like it will help for it might worsen the person's life. As the saying goes mind your own business because I don't mind your's (you may find it sarcastic but it will somehow take you away from bad possible things to happen and keeping you to ger into trouble.
