I bloom when I smile - Watercolor
Since I can remember I have felt great love for art, however, it is one of those activities that I have had to put aside to have a "normal, mature and serious" life with my feet on the ground but without stopping dreaming. . Recently I have taken up those things that made me happy, such as painting, drawing, making music, and I have decided to try watercolor.
This work is A4 size on 350 gr paper special for watercolors and tempera, and the pigments are water-based for school use.
I hope you like it, I have titled it "I bloom when I smile"
Steps to paint in watercolor (According to my perspective) this does not mean that there is only one way to do it.
First I draw in pencil what I want to paint, very lightly so that it is erased with the water, once the work is advanced.
Then I proceed to paint the background, and the hair, with a pigment very diluted in water, to serve as a base but without altering the other subsequent pigments too much. It is important to paint the background and other parts that share similar colors so that there is no "double edge" effect that reduces neatness and a good finish.
I proceed to play with the orange, yellow, white and red to color the skin.
