For the sake of ARMY, V BTS cancels retirement at the age of 40
SEOUL - In 2013, BTS members were once asked about their projected future positions. At that time V had quite a unique answer. The owner of the real name Kim Taehyung plans to retire when he turns 40 years old.
"I will retire at the age of 40 and dedicate time to my family and wife. I want to be a cool senior who wears a beret and coat while throwing shrimp crackers at pigeons," V said at the time, as quoted from the Koreaboo page .

However, it seems that V has changed his mind regarding the plan. In 2019 at the end of a concert, the singer of "Winter Bear" shared a message that warmed the hearts of BTS fans called ARMY . V talked about his wish that all ARMYs can watch BTS perform live.
"And for ARMYs who haven't been able to see us in person, we really want to give them the opportunity to come see us perform too. I mean, I want everyone to see us," said V. The
man who was born on December 30 then promised ARMY that he and the other BTS members will keep going until the entire ARMY sees BTS's performance live, at least once in their lives.
"So, until the time comes, we will continue to move forward. We will keep making music, we will continue to release albums, and we will continue to hold concerts or perform," promised V.
Regardless of when V plans to retire, he and other BTS members have worked really hard to get to where they are now. They really deserve the best.
