THE DIARY GAME || 03 JANUARY, 2023|| Morning Routine, Lab Work (disinfection, plate drying and labeling, votex, e.t.c)

INTRODUCTION

I am very much glad to share with you all about my day’s activity, 03 January , 2023 which was very stressful

ACTIVITIES AT HOME
At extactly 6:00AM, my alarm clock woke me up from bed and I immediately got up, said a short prayer and went and brush my teeth.

After brushing I went inside and ironed my trousers, took my bath, after which I took my breakfast and set off for work.

MY ACTIVITIES AT WORK
I got to work at 7:25AM, opened my work unit and did some dusting and disinfected of the working environment, such as the benches, fridges, and the machines to get rid of dusts microorganisms that could serve as contaminants.
After disinfection, I then started drying media plates which were prepared and stored in a fridge, in an oven to be used for streaking.

I then went and dried the media in an oven for a period of 30 minutes.
I removed them when they were well dried and begun with the labeling

I allowed the sample to be used for the plating yo stand for a while in order to thaw so that could vortex them to make sure they were well mixed.

After the samples were plated on the plates, I packed them in containers and incubated so that we can exam the growth of the organism the following day.

My activities in the laboratory ended after I had prepared some slides and viewed on the microscope.

I left the laboratory and got home at 5:37PM. I took a bath and had some supper, and this finally brought my day’s activities to an end.
