The weather is grey and gloomy these days, as always in late November. The sun looks rare and short-lived. It is not snowing yet. Although there was a snowstorm a few days ago, which I could not take a picture of because I forgot to charge my smartphone the day before, and it discharged at the most inopportune moment.

Meanwhile, the event was epic in scale. I walked along the Fontanka embankment, there was a wonderful sunny day, the sun not only shone, but even warmed a little. I set my face in the sun's rays and enjoyed the light and warmth. Suddenly it got dark, and a charge of snow flew into my face :).

So, I couldn't photograph this event, and today I tell you about a walk along the Moika River Embankment on an ordinary November day. This embankment is not far from my home, and I walk along this route quite often. I walked along the left bank of the Moika river near the river mouth. On the opposite bank is the shipyard "Admiralty Shipyards", its territory is closed to visitors.

On my shore there are dwelling houses and palace of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich. The House of Music is located in the palace now, where concerts are held and musicians study.

I specifically came closer to take some photos of the palace building. Near the gate, I saw a warning that photo and video shooting is prohibited. This demand is illegal, but I decided not to argue with the guards and did not go into the yard to take more photos.

In the next building there is a scientific institute, which is engaged in research of the world ocean. I took a picture of the plate near the entrance. I photographed the building itself a little later, when I went far enough to fit it into the frame.

The institute is located in a three-storey yellow building. This building was built at the end of the XVIII century, it housed the Batashov estate. The building survived a direct hit by an air bomb during the Second World War, its appearance was restored, but the interiors were lost.

I reached the crosswalk to return to the embankment and make some final shots of the Moika River perspective.
