Gazania seed head
Even when a flower has finished blooming and its beautifully coloured petals are gone, there is still somethinginteresting about the next stage of a flowers life cycle.
The seedhead with the individual seeds are waiting for the wind to blow and send them off into the ayr and to a new location, so the cycle can begin again.
The first shot is taken with a telephoto and the second is taken with a macro lens, to give a couple of similar but different views of the seeds.
