The Chestnut-Streaked Sailer With Flapping Wings
The chestnut-streaked sailer (Neptis jumbah, Moore/1857).
I rarely found a butterfly perched on a leaf with its wings flapping. Sometimes I have to be willing to wait for them to spread their wings before capturing them using my camera, but those moments are very rare. Most of the butterflies cover their wings when they are perching.
But there are times when the moments you've been waiting for will eventually come too. They will show their beautiful wingspan by flapping slowly, that's when you should be quick to shoot as much as you can.
