Journey To The Center Of The Earth

Hi guys, This is my first post in this community. Do you have ever been curious about what may be there underneath our feet? As many others’ beliefs the hell can be underground.😲 As in novels and movies may be there is a hidden world ... What do you think??

As we have learnt earth is composed of crust, mantle, and core. Can we dig a hole in to the center of the earth?? The deepest hole drilled by human is in the Kola, Penninsula in Russia. It is about 12,262m ( 40,230ft ) and 23cm wide only.. That means its only 0.2% from the depth to the center.

Human have not been able to drill the earth than few miles due to the intense heat and pressure inside the earth.

The earth's interior consists of molten metal. The inner core is a solid ball which made by nickel and iron. Though the temperature inside the earth is so high these metals remains as solids.

Have you ever thought that there may be a liquid part under the earth???..The outer core of the earth is liquid and mostly composed of nickel and iron.

But how the volcanoes, mountains , earthquakes mid ocean ridges are formed?? Is there any explanation for how these events are happening???

Mantle convection currents are the main reason for those events. The earths’ crust is made up of plate tectonics. Lithosphere is less dense and buoyant so it floats on the asthenosphere. Though the lithosphere floats on asthenosphere , it is not a liquid but viscoelastic. The earths’ interior has a very high temperature .So convection occurs in the mantle to cool down the earth. The cooler materials comedown and the hot materials rise up like in a heating water beaker.

This upwelling of magma causes the tectonic plates to move. With the movement of the plates they cause earthquakes , form volcanoes, mountains and many events take place .. Many events take place near the plate boundaries because the collisions, and drifting apart of the plates.
