Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing great today and I will always pray for everyone’s health and safety.

Today is sunny day and I want to take a glimpse of the golden hour here in my grandpa’s place which is located in a countryside (Barangay Mayo, Muñoz, Mati City, Davao Oriental -Philippines).

Every month we always go here to pay visit at my grandparents’ home as we are getting old, they are getting older as well so they do really need a double attention and time with their children and grandchildren. That’s why we don’t miss a day that we don’t come here. And a side of that main reason, the other we love in this place is it’s aesthetically pleasing view of nature.

After Snack time and helping from doing chores, I decided to have a DIY (do-it-yourself) photo shoot at my grandpa’s backyard as it has a peck of green view and the tall coconut trees added an extra vibe like into the wild! And of course, I dressed up a little bit by wearing skirt which I really don’t wear yet I’m starting to love it.

Also, I chose this as photo header because this is my most favorite shot above all and if you’re wondering what’s inside the basket, you will get to know it when you’re almost done in reading this content of mine. 😉

In this backyard, there’s a lot of bushes or flower plants to pick as my Aunt (dad’s older sister) is a green thumb and she even tried to sell some plants and some of it are over 10 years since planted which is the most expensive one.

Having a DIY photo shoot is a great idea especially when it has a view like this where you could just take photos effortlessly and just have a little props. For me, I used this silicone basketry and luckily it matched the theme color -green.

In taking outdoor photos, natural lighting is the best thing to play with. It adds an aesthetic kind of effect in your photos where you don’t have to edit (but that depends on you).

In taking poses, you don’t need to worry about it. JUST ACT NATURAL is the main thing to think about. Just don’t mind about your flaws and just be yourself!

Exploring things is also a way in knowing yourself more. You shouldn’t always stay on where you are or never ever compare yourself to others because it will just put you into toxicity. And make taking photos as part as f your daily routine because we can’t never get the time back and time flies so fast that we can’t get back to the younger self we’ve been. 🙃

When that one day will come, you’ll be happy staring those photos and think about the memories you had those days together with the people you love and the wonderful places you’ve been.

Especially nowadays that we’re all in to modern life, never hesitate to collect photos in a photo album. Let’s get back on using the old thing and print every photos that has a moment to be treasured so can’t forget those times.

And I do hope that this place will never get changed when I get older and I will forever remember the happy memories with my whole family that we made here. The laughter, touch and voice will always be in my mind and heart.

To share with you, I’ve been thinking of buying an instax camera. It has been years since I’m thinking out loud about it. And I’m pretty sure it will be useful for me and I planned to use the money I earned here. It will be the best gift for me though. Hopefully it will happen soon. 💝

This is our pet and my sister named her Gucci. And I want you to know that this precious kitten wasn’t harmed. She even like sleeping in a home slippers or if ever she finds some comfy fabrics around the house.

Gucci really made my day today and I hope you do, too.
