EMMANUEL: GOD WITH US (GEN. 39: 2, 21).
INTRODUCTION
God was always with Joseph, in the house of Portipher, in the prison house and in palace of Pharaoh in Egypt.
"The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of master the Egyptian. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison".
Whosoever you are, and wherever you may be, what is of utmost importance is whether God is with you or not.
Nobody and nothing can challenge or intimidate God's omnipotent power. The Lord is a great arranger of events, a Specialist in impossibilities! When you focus on Him He will also focus on you.
Joseph was a prime illustration of the truth that adversity is a setback from which we can take our greatest leaps forward. We must learn to acknowledge God's presence in every area of our life and work.
Even when Joseph was thrown into prison for doing nothing wrong, God was with him, showed him mercy, and blessed him even in that dark place. So the young man, knowing that God was always with him, learned not to think of himself as a victim, but as a conquering child of God. With the Lord on your side, you win always!!!
