Art and Creativity: How Do We Get Ourselves NOTICED and SEEN?
Much like here in Steemit, the art world tends to be an eternal game of "getting seen."
What do we have to do to be seen, for people to notice our work and build a following for it?

Here on Steemit, the answer typically seems to be that we need to produce some kind of noteworthy content, and then we need to engage and interact with others.
The art world is not a whole lot different.
Short and sweet — for both places — is that you need to do your best, and then you need to be willing to self-promote, a lot.

A lot of artists tend to be somewhat introverted and reclusive by nature, so self-promotion feels like it is way outside our comfort zones. For some, it even feels distasteful.
But it's not enough to simply produce something worthwhile, and expect people to find you, simply because "it's there."
The old truism, says that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil."

That's definitely true in the world of art, and it also seems to hold true in the world of Steemit!
The other thing that's really important is patience. Success is very rarely something that comes overnight... more often, it's the result of many months and even years of perseverance.
We've got to stick to it!
