Vampire Diaries- A hit or miss?
After many years of the series being aired I had no clue of it's existence. A month ago I found out that this was really hyped show and thought of watching it.
Before starting I would profoundly say that This vampire show was way better than Twilight!
For a consistent 8 years of running the show ended back in 2017 and made a good critique overall. The ratings were great as well.
Plot
The story revolves around ELENA which was played by Nina Dobrev. She lived in a beautiful city called mystic falls in Virginia and had just lost both of her parents. In high school she met Stephan played by Paul Wesley who was more than a century old vampire and was madly in love with her. Then came the hot shot brother of Stephan called Damon Salvatore , Played by Ian Somerhalder who bad ass villain but later made hero.
The trio went through major ups and down mostly involving the sacrifices to save Elena. The other characters had a strong influence over the show including Caroline (Played by Candice kings) and Bonnie ( Played by Kate Graham) who were the best friends.
Every season a new problem arises and people ran to save each other and the love triangle between elena, damon and stephan continued which ended in season 4 when Elena was turned into Vampire and she started falling in love with Damon and
Considering the series was supernatural drama we were served with vampires, werewolf , hybrid, doppelganger , traveller and hunters.
Then entire plot revolved around them and many stories came through bought different opinions of critics. Personally for me few episodes were damn interesting and rest were just fine.

As I earlier mentioned the names of the major cast, They played a fantastic role her and one cannot pin point any one of them for bad acting.
Nina dobrev played three roles in the show of them two were super famous, the Old baddie Katherine and the innocent Elena. She was actually magic I can love and hate the character played by same person. She is super talented no doubt. Ian and Paul played the lead role and they killed it. actually people loved them all.
Tyler, Kai and the original s were the best too. Even after this show originals got their own shoe as one can say how beloved they were in TVD.
Not to forget about Klaus and many shipping the fans did like Stefena, Delena, Klaroine, Bonenzo. These were the character's relationship people loved including me.

The non magical & magical aspect
I loved the show but the last two seasons were not that much of interesting. Maybe Nina left that's why, but that's my personal opinion. Anyways the death of Stephan in last episode was such a hard twist which I wasn't expecting and hated it for real.
The magical aspect was the chemistry between the cast, on and off camera which developed the interest.

I would happily give 8/10 as it was wonderful series but with few boring flaws. I believe its a hit for sure.
