Light At The End Of The Tunnel.

Nobody ever wished to live a life full of sadness and pains, even Sammy wanted to live a happy life but could not change his Fate. Today's story talks about little Sammy who lost his mom at a tender age and that's the begining of his suffering as his stepmother steps in and takes full control.

The Beginning Of The Story.

Sammy had a happy and great life just like everyone else, he experienced motherly love, his mom cared for him and made sure she provided all his needs. His dad always has a busy schedule and was never available, all the attention he needed was given to him by his mom and this made Sammy clingy when it comes to his mom, he does not want to ever leave her side.

Sammy continued to enjoy the love showered on him until he was eight years old, he's mom was ill when he left for school, he made her promise him that she will visit the hospital and be fine for him and she did just that but one cannot make for decisions for fate. Sammy was back from school as always, expecting that warm welcome but only to find multitudes sitting in the sitting room and even at the entrance of the house, he was confused about what was going on, or what could be the reason for the gathering.

A family friend sighted him and immediately rushed to take him to his room, he followed her reluctantly, she bath him like his mom would do, gave him what to eat and asked him to get some sleep but the noise from the sitting room won't allow him do that. Another thing that made Sammy restless was that, he's dad came back from work earlier than usual and his mom is nowhere to be found.

After sometime of thinking how to break the news of his wife demise (Sammy's mom) to Sammy, he finally went to Sammy's room, gave him a little attention and then later broke Sammy's heart with the sad news, Sammy cried his eyes out and wished he did not leave her to visit the hospital all by herself, Sammy was heartbroken indeed as he stayed days without eating.

Two years after his mom's demise, Sammy's dad got a replacement, he married another woman but Sammy's mom can never be replaced in his heart, first two weeks of living with a stepmom was okay as she acted all nice and treated him like her own but all these changed all of sudden when she started starving the little boy and was never bothered about his way about except she has chores for him to carry out.

Sammy became a well known late comer in school, always looking unkept, many people knew about the latest development while others wondered what made him change. All that Sammy suffered in the hands of his stepmom only motivated him, he did not let himself see it as suffering but instead he gives himself the motivation he needs to keep pushing.

Sammy's stepmom took control of the whole house, everyone in the house follows her instructions including Sammy's dad and this kills Sammy, Sammy was done with high school and wanted to further to college but she declined and his father agreed to such, it was as if she cast a spell on him. Sammy moved out of the house at such tender age, took part in menial jobs, he was squatting with friends while he hustled to raise money to sponsor his education in college.

After over a year Sammy finally applied for college, he was given the admission to study Electrical Engineering, he used the money he saved from carrying out menial jobs to pay for everything needed and was left with nothing, his dad was alive but let him suffer this much and for this reason Sammy wished it was his dad that died that day. He continued to struggle on how to get study materials and at same time how to feed himself.

Sammy's friend told him about a scholarship which he applied for almost immediately, three months later he received an email about been offered the scholarship he applied for earlier, Sammy was happy for he has been relieved of the stress of catering for his tuition fees and accommodation, all he needed to struggle for was how to feed.

After five years of studying, Sammy graduated and was offered a job by the oil company that offered him the scholarship. Today Sammy is happily married and is blessed with two kids.
