Travel India with me: Reached Bijapur/Vijayapura

It took us a while to reach this city. The roads were good but at some places there were diversions amd the road was being repaired.

The journey in the bus was good. I had no motion sickness and I found myself drifting to sleep quite often.

Once I reached Bijapur/Vijayapur I found a place to get fresh and then started walking to explore this ancient city.

Bujapur has a lot of historical places and one of the most famous places is the Gol Gumbaz.

It is a tomb for the King and it is an architectural marvel.

I am sitting here inside the Gol Gumbaz and relaxing. Yes, my feet needs to relax so that I can continue exploring more ancient buildings.
