My 5 for 5 this 2021

in Account Booster 👍4 years ago

Although BTC & ETH are clearly the ultimate cryptos to hold I still think that there are altcoins that are investing my time & resources into. It's a personal preference and it will depend on your investing strategy which will make you compelled on investing in BTC & ETH as well. Both of them have taken off and it's a lot harder to take part in this crypto rally since the prices are too steep at this point.

The only reason that I will invest in BTC & ETH if I really wanted to hold it until it reaches the $300k price level or else I'd rather invest in altcoins that have the tendency to really spike 10 fold in the short term.

For this year I would like to focus on coins that I feel are worthwhile holding and has a good profit margin for the limited resources that I have.

Leo Finance ($LEO)

source

I had to put it on my list since it's by far the best investment decision that I made in the past year. At this point, Leo is pumping like crazy which is the most exciting thing that is happening here in Hive network. It's performing really well that even the native token is looking really underwhelming at this point. However, there's no competition between the two coins since the success of one is the success of both. They both reside on a single chain and each of them will carry both in their success. The question is, are you invested in both coins?

Actually, you don't necessarily need to invest your money in it since you can freely earn just by creating content that the curators would like to upvote. Even a simple comment can earn you Leo or Hive tokens. If you the time & energy then you have the chance to earn it.

Akash ($AKT)

source

Recently, I learned about $AKT (Akash Network) from a comment somewhere in Blurt or Hive which made me research it. It's a relatively new chain with the mainnet released in Oct of 2020. The public token sale was months before that and it was regret not knowing about it early on. Anyway, I took the plunge just a few days ago because I find the use case so compelling which made me invest in it. The Akash Network will disrupt cloud computing a few years from now.

The team behind this project has good credibility as well. They also made a good strategy to partner with Cosmos ($ATOM) in which they benefit from the amazing array of tools that are already present with this multi-chain solution.

Blurt ($BLURT)

source

My investment of time & resources to Blurt is purely based on the team & community that's been working on it. I really like how things move in the Blurt network and the strategy they make to take it to a higher level of development.

Also, I like the idea that Blurt will be brought over to Cosmos and be part of a muti-chain solution environment. I feel that a social blockchain in Cosmos will be an interesting aspect to it and a good exposure as well.

Thorchain ($RUNE)

source

First of all, I still have yet to research this chain and many to discover but I already feel compelled to invest in it. One of the reasons is that the current price is still affordable at this point. Although, I still have to learn how to earn more $RUNE in a more efficient way. Will it be by staking or pooling? I'm not really sure at this point. However, it's something that I wanted to into in the next days to come.

Tron ($TRX)

source

As of this moment, $TRX is magic money that lands on my wallet as I earn $Steem. It's free money that comes as a bonus as I post & curate content in Steemit which I can stake to earn even more of this free money. So whatever $TRX I earn from Steemit will be staked indefinitely until it grows to a point that it's worth taking profits passively.

So, these will be the 5 tokens that I will be holding for the next 5 years!

5 for 5!

Good info. Sounds like I should look into Cosmos, especially, if they are going to include Blurt.

It's been on the discussion for many weeks or months if I remember correctly, which made me wonder why the delay.

I read @jacobgadikian's post where he mentioned that he wanted to collab with Hive but it seems that it didn't result in anything. He even presented in HiveFest but still, nothing happened.

Anyway, I feel that going to Cosmos will be a much better option.

The angle that I'm looking at right now is the plan to migrate it to the Cosmos Hub. If Blurt, potentially is in a different name by the time it migrated to Cosmos; will be exposed to other blockchain networks that are part of the Cosmos Hub, it will be a great opportunity to connect with other crypto projects.

This is what I'm most excited about since I'm starting to build some stakes to other chains within the Cosmos Hub; Akash Network ($AKT) and potentially Sentinel ($SENT) as well.

It's going to be an ultimate Hodl plan for the next 5 years. Unless something not so good happens ;)

The cosmos network is permissionless, they haven't even given themselves a choice:

It is a network of independent blockchains that can talk to one another.

See reply to @funtraveller's post below for some more detail and info.

Thanks for the info. Most of it is Greek to me; too technical. I'm always glad to see new development and new opportunities though.
